Lovely photo's everyone - thanks for sharing and pleased you all had a good day.
Charlotte did the shakey head thing. She wore a hole in her hair and had a baldy patch on the back of her head. She still does it now if you say "do a shakey"
She's been naughty again tonight as she didn't want to go to bed. I went up for a shower and she was shouting that she wanted to get up while I was getting dried. Went in and told her to go to sleep before I went downstairs and seconds later she was yelling because her duvet had "fallen off" - yeah right! Craig went up and told her off really firmly and she was crying her eyes out as she hates being told off my him. I went up and between sobs she said "Daddy told me off. He's just a big bully" :rotfl:Told her to go to sleep again and she finally dropped off.Here I go again on my own....0 -

I am still up for a South Coast/ Hampshire/ South of London meet if anyone fancies it!London is a bit far for me, I'm in Fareham (halfway between Portsmouth and Southampton for anyone non-local
)
Looks like you ladies had fun today! I havent read back, just saw some lovely pics on FB! We keep meaning to take S to a local soft play centre but never seem to get around to it. Have been feeling a bit sad this evening as he went to a picnic today with lots of other childminders and their little ones, and we never seem to have enough time to do anything so fun with him. But, I'm cutting down my work hours to 3 days a week instead of 4Mummy to

Thanks for all of this info! OH is 11 weeks old tomorrow and I have been doing the bedtime routine for weeks now. I hadn't thought of doing the story and feed at the same time, although I doubt I have enough hands for it all but will try. I have been putting him down anywhere from 6pm until 8pm and it generally takes up to two hours whatever time it is. At first I thought he was feeding all that time (when he had had his bath; etc!) and have now realised that he was feeding and then suckling for comfort. He is now fed and then winded and then I put him down. Tonight he screamed until I rocked him to just before he was asleep. I then put him down but with my face quite close to his and then left. Generally by 8pm he is asleep and will sleep to between 4 and 5am for a feed, although struggles to sleep very long after that.
Can I ask a stupid question again? How do you over stimulate a baby? I know that I am in his face quite a bit as I feel guilty when I leave him on his own. How long should they be left entertaining themselves for?
Sorry for asking dumb questions but I AM A NEUROTIC MOTHER!!:eek:
Giunea, everything Redmel has said is very good advice. I have taken a very relaxed approach and until Erin was around 4 months she just stayed with me all day and eventually fell asleep around 10pm! I then started trying to put her to bed at 7pm but it didn't work and eventually we found starting bath, book, feed, bed at 8pm aiming for sleep at 9pm worked much better - just depends on your own schedules. Took a few weeks though until she knew it meant sleepy time. I still feed Erin to sleep and she hasn't become reliant on it as if necessary I can get her to sleep other ways but feeding is just easiest. Some on here do singing after they have put LO down awake gradually singing from further away until they escape which seems to work really well. HTHMum to DD born Oct 2009

Giunea, if he doesn't have a problem with wind I don't bother winding at night. I woudn't worry about overstimulating but at night you should keep things low key and avoid tele, radio etc.

I wasn't sure if Charlotte had any other friends, so was tagging her!
I also noticed SJ's beautiful, impractical shoes and thought what a posh/glam Mummy she is!
When I was little, my best friends Mummy always used to do her housework in high heels. My mission in life was to always do my housework in high heels - I failed!
Krystal I liked your hair too.
Mel Was all ok at your appointments today? How is your bump doing?
