Seriously now! Who pointed a camera in my direction? I hate having photos taken, not photogenic in anyway.

That is a lovely photo of you and Jack Glam. You just need to cut me off the side.

Everyone was very nice, and babies well behaved. Am so wanting an Antilope now, instead of the stupid wooden one OH bought. Alex hates it, but was very happy in the Ikea one.

Oh yes and Sarah Joanne was wearing some lovely shoes. But sadly i would break my neck wearing them :rotfl:

I am very much hoping that Alex was taking notes of all the sitting, crawling, standing babies. He zonked out in the car, but woke in time to go see daddy at work, and charm all the ladies that daddy works with.

Sorry, haven't read back, will catch up tomorrow in work ;). Time to watch Strike Back.

C now has her own Hotmail address (cos I think people search on that don't they so didn't want to use mine) and her own facebook page. Nothing on there yet :rotfl:but will upload photo's etc when I get mum's laptop (our's died and took lots of our pics with it). Also need to work out how to join groups (Fairy exchange) and find the list to see who peeps are on here...might wait til OH home tomoz....watch this space...

KOAG -C does the head thing lots. We asked the HV cos it's giving her a bald patch and she just said some babies like it :rotfl:. Also, she seems to be just sleeping in a sleep suit at the mo but she is alaways very hot (as I think NMS mentioned today).

    Hi everyone

Thanks so much for the replies about what to use in baby's bed. Have now got sheets and things!

Here's another questions for you all......at the moment it is taking me about two hours to do the bedtime routine; i.e. bath, clothes, breast feed, story and cuddle. Only thing is that as soon as I put baby in his bed he screams, although I know that he is tired; i.e. yawning, closing eyes; etc. I have tried leaving him to scream/offer more booby as comfort/talk to him but nothing seems to work. Every day I seem to have to rock him to sleep which I don't mind but I would like to do something in the evening before going to bed! I haven't been out for months!
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks

What age is LO, What time are you putting him down to bed, does he sleep the night through once he is asleep?

Personally this is what I would do....

I would skip the bath and read the story while feeding, you could probably halve the time spent just by doing that....It sounds to me like LO is overtired/overstimulated?

Maybe on the days you are going to bath aswell start a lot earlier, there is nothing wrong with having him bathed and in his PJ's for an hour or so before he even has his last feed....Gives him time to settle down again after the excitement of bathtime.

You could try weaning him off the rocking to sleep gradually, by say rocking him almost asleep then putting him down but not picking back up again just keep rocking him while he is lying in the cot...then keep on reducing the amount of time you are rocking him in your arms and increase the rocking in the cot part. Once he is well used to this maybe try putting him down with only rocking him in the cot...and reduce the time you do it gradually so eventually you will just be able to pop him down and walk away.

Sorry if none of that is of any use to you at all, I am good at waffling on when no-one is interested:o

I'm so glad all of you enjoyed yourselves - it looked like a great day from the pictures and so many mummies and babies :)

We're just winding down before bed, poor Miss Molly got so tired that she forgot that standing up requires both feet and one upper part to be touching something solid and fell over :( I'm taking her to bed soon, but for the moment I'm worrying about Husband, who has not updated me in a few hours and whose internet is mysteriously offline. I really miss him when he is not here much as I moan about the inexplicable things he does when he is.

Shaky head babies...K went through a stage of doing this, it drove me mad as I kept wondering if he had an ear infection or was just a demented child...he stopped after a while.

Tog sleeping bag....K is still in 2.5 I just put him in either PJ's with no vest or vest with no PJ's depending how hot it is.

    Evening all..

Nothing much to report from Chez Elle. All fine and dandy :)

I've heard from Tigs.. she asked me to pass on her thanks to everyone for your good wishes. Andrew will be in for a while yet but she'll come and tell all once her Mum's back and knows all (late next week).

We're off to soft play centre tomorrow for more first birthday party fun - bet mine's the only one year old who won't have to pay! ;):p

Glad the meet went well.. love all the pics :) Will try to get some of Big Reece and Little Rhys together tomorrow!
