kindof how much is Elliot taking at each feed now?
We're all on MSE for our own money saving reasons. It seems to be that IRL people say that children get very expensive as they grow up. How much does everyone feel this HAS to be the case?
I don't want fergie or kessie to be bullied in school for not having the right things, but I also don't want to have to get branded goods all the time just at the whim of a 10 year old in fergies class with more money than sense. Does this make any sense?
I'm wanting to decide to drop our income, but I don't want to risk fergie's happiness by not having essential cash...
Hope anyone can help!
Love weezl xxx

Have a sample of that here so will give it a go, just wasn't sure if it was only for nappy rash and not for grazes caused by poo! Sorry about the topic guys :-)
Any other things to try if the Bepanthol doesn't work very welcome.

Managed a bit of phone lurking earlier but couldn't post! Gotta be quick as it's getting to grumpy time (5 til 7, bit like happy hour but sadly the opposite!!) for Guy.
EA I just wanted to say that make sure you read up on the hungry baby milk before going ahead with it. My HV suggested it so I read up and there's a lot about it giving constipation so I asked a couple of people I know (both midwives/hvs) & they suggested to persevere with 'normal' milk and feed on demand for now, because of the possibilities of constipation with hungry baby milk. I know we'd struggle with it cos he seems to struggle to poop as it is! HTH a bitGuy's feeding loads at the mo too, went from lovely 6 hour gaps at night to 3 again, doh.
Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
DD1 does like named clothes but generally is quite happy with Primark or New Look where she can buy whole outfits for the price of 1 named thing. I tend to buy her couple of named items for birthdays or christmas. Expense wise she costs £15 per week dinner money, £19 every 4 weeks school bus pass and then I give her pocket money if she does the dishes and tidys her room! she always moans bout this tho so generally she dosnt get it! I always buy her make up, toiletries and give her money to top her phone up etc so this all adds up and we have her prom in June and her dress was £150 which compared to some of the kids who have spent up to £500 I didnt think was too bad and its lovely:) Just the hair, makeup, false eyelashes, false nails, false tan and all the accesories to pay for now.
Didnt read all the comments regarding maintenance but OH and I have an agreement that he pays x amount each month ( and this hasnt increased since we split up 13 years ago) but he also goes halves on school uniform, any trips and he gives her spending money for her hols and pocket money each month so this has worked for us.19.6.10 Weight loss 6lb0 -

Jam - make sure she is drinking plenty of water too as this should soften the stools. Holly's are very random, somtimes runny newborn, sometimes Chelsea Whopper like (my OH doesn't know what a Chelsea Whopper is!) lol.
ETA - I would probably put Vaseline on too, to try and stop any new poos sticking to the sore bits? Not sure if that works but in my head it sounds right.0 -
Thanks Jillie

does she drink plenty of water?
I find J's poo's really solid now he's on food & water definitely has an impact the following day - he tends to have around a beakerfull (150ml throughout the day)A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Thanks Glam and Fitz.
She has lots of water (wish she would take milk from a sippy cup the same way:o) but will try offering more. Also has those fruit pot things and fresh fruit (but she does have all-in-one bread stuff - should I change to white so less fibre I wonder - or does brown make you go? :rotfl:)
I thought that about the Vaseline Fitz but now I have read the Bepanthol leaflet, it is an oil based cream so would do the same job I imagine but it still lets the air through the heal the graze.
Will see how we go til tomorrow - fingers crossed - hate seeing her cry in pain
Thanks xxx
Fitz - I'm with your OH - Chealsea whopper???????? lolMy baby girl :kisses3: September 09 :heartsmil0 -
Does anyone know when BF babies start needing water? H is on three (smallish) meals a day, and still has probably six BFs throughout the day and night. Should I offer him water too? I just forget.....:o.
To those with frequent feeding babies, H fed every two hours onto he went onto solids. Only through the day though, he's always been quite a good night sleeper but I think some babies just like snacking frequently. Also I always try and remember that it is their drink as well as their food and I wouldn't like to go 4+ hours between food and drinks!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

Hi all! X
I went shopping with MM and Mrs Moc when I was away and took them in shops for DS1 that they said they would never go in. We like surfer stuff here but usually Play.com and Very sale. Would never put a 16yr old lad in a cheap t-shirt, but girls where happy with New Look and Primark as they change their mind so much. Ben wears Saltrock and Animal, so surfy dude like his big bro but the t-shirts were £2.50 each!Too many children, too little time!!!0
