  • More likely to be low on iron, SM. Your body is good at letting you know what it needs.

Have put the washing machine and the dishwasher on, swept and mopped the kitchen floor, tidied Benjamin toys away, taken the bin out, made Benjamin some sweet and sour chicken and put the baby to bed! Busy hour! Need a glass of wine to help me relax ;-)

I made the most gorgeous SC beef for dinner, it was incredibly nomnomnom. I have the washing machine and dishwasher on, all three children are bathed and in bed smelling beautiful and i'm having a glass of wine too.

I've got a little pile of stuff to list on ebay, but will keep up with you lot while I do it.

SM I had the urge for meat for the week after we went to the Argentinian steak house on Good Friday (and I had tuna!). It wasn't cured til I made steak with pepper sauce the following week.

Hi all, Ive been lurking but not caught up to post any earlier, doh!!

GISI - Im Interested in the milk banking too, Ive probs left it too late too, I couldnt find the link you were talking about, would you mind sending it to me please so I can have a nosy. Thank you. On the subject of water, I put some of our water I boil for our first cuppa in the mornings into T's Tommee Tippee first cup and let it cool, so that he can have some with his lunch and dinner. Not a lot gets drunk but I figure its getting him used to the taste of water, which he seems to like, and also getting him used to the cup as I am hoping one day he might drink my milk from it, depending on what happens with going back to work. My current thinking is that I'd like to BF up until T is 1 year old, then go onto cows milk.

T has been in bed since about 7, gawdee he gets well grumpy when its near his bedtime!! He woke up about 8 and had a lil cry but then went quiet and settled himself back down so thats a small step forward!! Had to have a little peek in his room just to check though. Oops mightve spoke too soon, just heard another little cry from him... oh phew, all quiet again. xx

  • A question for those of you with babies with hair:

If you bathe babba at bedtime how do you dry their hair? At the moment I just rub Benjamin's with a towel but as his hair is getting thicker it is still a bit damp after his bottle and then he gets bed-hair LOL

MFD - V's is getting thicker, especially the back mullet bit. She had a bath tonight, I rubbed it with a towel, and by the time she was in her sleepsuit and bag and had had her bottle it was dry!

She has bed hair whether she's gone to bed with it freshly washed or not.

  • Linky for you Fattybooboo http://www.ukamb.org/.

I do try and do the same with the water for H, but I often forget! He quite likes his cup and will take a bit of water from it, but now a significant amount. I have similar plans on feeding H. I'd like to keep feeding him until he's 1, but realistically when I go back to work he may have to have formula while I'm at work, and feed from me when I'm not (including first feed and night feed). I know Ladybird has done this very successfully with Izzy, so hopefully it will work for us. Much as I would like to express enough for him to have EBM while I'm at work, I'm not sure I will manage it. Then again it will only be 24 hours a week, so probably around six milk feeds....hmmm, might be doable depending on how much milk versus food he is taking by then.

So, that ended up being a bit of a ramble but I was just typing as my mind whirred!
