Caz - I don't think you should pay more. My ex pays the bare minimum that he is required to pay and won't fund anything else which is fair enough. He said a few weeks back that he wants the boys out of education and working at 16, so he no longer has to pay maintenance for them.
Josh mentioned he is earning a little now. He's 13 and does odd bits of teen research stuff through a couple of agencies that I work for. Sometimes he gets cash and sometimes he gets vouchers for places like Amazon. Ex thinks I should write down everything he earns and he will deduct it from the maintenance. I don't think that is right as it would be me who is penalised as I just let Josh keep the cash/vouchers as extra pocket money.
To be fair, Josh is saving some as he wants driving lessons and to buy a car when he's 17. He's planning on staying on in sixth form and he'll be 17 in the November, and he's got this idea of going to school in his own car for the rest of his last year at school
Here I go again on my own....0 -

:j Yey Caitlyn for taking steps. V loves walking around the furniture, or walking around holding onto my one finger, but if you let go, she gets down to crawl!Well, DSD1 has asked DH for some money towards a deposit for a trip to Madagascar in 2012. He pays maintenance every month to her mum, and we can ill afford any more. But it will make him look bad if he says he can't afford to give any. She says her mum will try and raise some money (she doesn't work), so we said to see what she could save herself (she gets EMA £30 per week), see what her mum can give and then we'd see about the rest. Does that sound reasonable to you? TBH we want to see what her mum is giving first - she gets all the tax credits and child benefit for her whereas we get nothing, but DH pays her every month too.
I was about to say OH only needs to pay the maintenance, and nothing else. But that would make OH look rubbish in DSD's eyes.
And then I saw the age of DSD and thought she should have a job - but again, if her Dad tells her that, it makes him look rubbish!
I'm also thinking OH's ex is going to find herself up S.Creek without a paddle once the children are older and she finds herself without her benefits, tax credits, maintenance and Child benefit. Damn, she might have to find a job! :rotfl:
PP Do we share an OH? Mine is called KH too. :rotfl:
Caz What a  about the car! But it's not your fault! Are you going to have to get it MOT'd now?
MM I hope this week flies by for you. Where are you off to in May?:beer:0 -
When I looked into it they said your baby had to be under six months when you started but you could continue afterwards. Apparently the costs involved in recruiting a donor mean it's not worth their while to get someone with an older baby as they won't be donating for as long.Krystaltips wrote: »GISI, I'm not sure if your baby has to be under 6 months to donate? Scruff, I saw that the other day on a friends status. And being a nosey cow bag, i looked for the page. It turns out it wasn't a real page, but someone has taken the name, to see how many people join! Does that make sense?:beer:0 -
