Thanks for replying everyone. I'm not actually the mother although some would say i do look pregnant. Ive been carrying Stella around for a few years now!

    LOL at baby stella:rotfl:

we have a 1 litre corsa, and when pregnant with #2 did the maths on getting a bigger car. since the value difference to go to an astra (bigger boot) is £3500, and the main need for it will be hoidays and weekends away ( realistically a max of 6-8 times a year at the moment) we decided it makes sense to just hire a zafira for a weekend away. (you can do a lot of car hire for £3500!!!)

We havent got a buggy yet, i wanted to get a car with a reasonable boot and then go buggy shopping with the car so i could see what fits. We would be going on little family holidays in this car and could possibly have another child in a couple of years. It does sound like it would be ok though especially for now. I guess if another one comes along i'll have to re-plan everything!

Thanks again (i cant believe how quickly this thread moves!)

Ha I lol'ed when someone said about you being preggers I don't know how I knew you were a man!

It'll be fine, you find a way to pack everything in! You may find if you are going away with a decent amount of luggage you take a stroller instead of your main pram anyway but we are all obsessed with buying new prams and buggys and look for flimsy excuses to shop for them!!

Aww, that's not fair. You are going to have to buy some Aldi bacon and make your own. It's all AM groups round here - a PM group would be great, save me rushing around! Although don't have as much on now that i have chucked Kindermusik. What about Rhyme Time somewhere as it's free? I need try that next week.

We go to Rhyme Time once a month here. It quite good, K loves my awful singing!

    Morning all :)

Aless - Im like you reading on my ipod in the wee small hours while feeding T :D The apple curd sounds good in the porridge will add that to the list of stuff to try.

Im an other one with a fussy OH so have a limited food repetoire, am not gonna type it up cos it would depress me. Ive tried making new meals to expand our horizons but he generally moans so I never make it again. He's another one who likes his mostly typical british food, boring! Hope T is more adventurous.

Caz and mel - huggles for you both, have been their with the paranoia and its awful (must be worse with pg hormones!) hope you get some sleep/rest and get thru this xx

    SJ - £180!!! Eeek indeed!!!

3 - yeay for OHs suprise Birthday meal going down a treat :D

Well this morning Tahlie decide to move on from being horizontal in her cot and was completely upside down in her cot!! How does she get like this? she wriggles loads thru the day but only moves side to side a little! Anyone find they dream more since having a baby? have been having some weird dreams lately (most featuring T) and some that Im decidedly happy to wake up from as there a little upsetting but not nightmare status.

Next month when T will be nearly 13 weeks we are going to my uncles 60th in Ripon, it'll be T's first long journey and Im feeling a lil apprehensive so any hints, tips, advice would be welcome. Also we will be staying away from home at my mums for 3 nights, Any tips on settling babies in strange places would be welcome.

Now for a rant as we are going to this party/family get together (at my cousins house and starts at 3pm), OH has made plans (without asking me!) to go to his SILs 40th party which doesnt start till 8pm and is an hours drive away, so basically right when T is at her grottiest. I really dont want to go as we dont really get on with her family and generally they ignore us and am worried they'll all be smoking. But OH says if we can go to my family then we have to go to his cos its unfair (I said he didnt have to tell them!), its in less than 2 weeks time too :(
Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpuls
    Working on baby no2 :D

OOPS. I may have accidently inadvertantly put an offer on a Buzz and it may have been accidently accepted  I'm a moron cos it includes nothing and that's where it's gonna get expensive LOL.

My theory being i can save up £150 also, and then when i've saved it, sell te Quinny to make 100 and then can buy the Oyster :D I should get my money back on the Buzz... So technically am just hiring it *hopes*

Oh dear you are addicted to buggy buying!

ETA: wheres the best place for Trumpettes, price wise? And what are the sizes like? Bit concerned about the 0-12mth size? (I've seen £13.99 as the cheapest so far)

Thats a very good point! i hadnt considered that.

We're mainly doing it to replace OH's car, she really wouldnt fit anything in the boot and it has no power steering and no rear doors so it would be a nightmare to get a kid in and out of. I would just swap cars but mine is dangerously unreliable at the moment and i just wouldnt want my family in it as the engine is just cutting out at random. Add the poor fuel consumption to that and the fact im sick to death of it and you have a reason why im looking for a car with a 7 year warranty!

Aww :( this has been something E does off and on for months now - e.g. last night I was up for 3 minutes at 3.45am. If he gets upset in the night he stands up and holds the bars of the cot and cries, and once he reaches that state there is no way he is going back down again without a cuddle or sobbing himself into exhaustion :/ but literally a few seconds cuddle and laying him back out is usually enough. It's often twice or more a night but usually very quick.

We've always assumed there's something physical bothering him - wind, bruises, teeth... but it may be that he is just a sensitive flower and is plagued by nightmares.
Aimee did this for a while... I never really thought about why... Just accepted that she wanted a cuddle in the night and that's what I was there for... It passed eventually... :)

She's selling the footmuff for £25 + £5 postage  There's deffo money to be made in Quinny accessories. I've put a best offer on for 10 with a note saying please send with pram to save P&P LOL... I bet she declines.
    Always worth a punt lol...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

beenie i wouldnt buy the quinny footmuff as they go for silly money! i bought mine in a boots sale(the girl didnt know what it was) for £2 used it for 2/3 years and still got £22 back!!! look into a buggy snuggle or one of the generic fleecy footmuffs as then you will be able to change it with your pram. these can be picked up very cheaply too!
What's for you won't go past you

I think its because us mummies don't get into the same deep sleep mode as we are always on guard for any crying and that keeps us in the lighter sleep mode where you remember dreams more clearly.
    My theory!
