3 - sounds like a great night he will have a lot of planning to do to top that for your birthday :D

Any ideas what to do with a toddler who dosnt seem to want to eat????? She wont let me feed her, she dosnt want to feed herself, she just says no if I ask her if she wants brekkie, dinner or tea and she is currently eating a carrot for breakfast as she went to the fridge to get it her self! I've tried giving her snacks just so she has something inside her- I've also tried not giving her them so shes extra hungry at meal times but she dosnt seem to have the time to eat:cool: Shes only a little dot and has lots and lots of energy but she hasnt eaten a proper meal for days:(
PP I'm not sure if this helps but my friend had this with her little girl, and she realised it was about her asserting her independance.

So instead of 'would you like breakfast?' answer 'no!' it became do you want to have it in your pink bowl or your lion bowl? or do you want marmite on your toast or jam?

Sister's wedding thing was great and Alfie was an angel all day even though it was like baby pass the parcel. He's a right tart, not bothered in the slightest who he's with even if he's never met them before lol!

    Pics? :D

Sounds great 3! Can't beleive he missed all the clues!!! I'm slightly scared that hes a policeman!!!

I did ask him if he was in the right job with his lack of observation skills!, his excuse was that he'd taken his work head off and was wearing his home head which is dippy!

I'm thinking of decorating J's room this week while he's on holiday. It's his birthday Sunday so could be a nice suprise for him to come home too - and it's Next cars theme now which is quite childish for a 13yo.
It's a tiny room and I could probably paint it all in a day (tomorrow while V is with MIL), and have enough half tins of creams/beiges/copper paints in the shed to make it very MSE. :money:

I also have two sets of Next cream curtains which will fit his window, they have browns/golds embroidery on saying sleep time and stuff. Also a spare matching king-size duvet set which I could use to make a single one.

Quick question for the parents... I have a little one on the way and we need a new car as mine is breaking down alot and OH's is an ancient and very small wreck! I'm worried about boot space for prams/changing bags and all the other carp you carry around with kids!

I'm looking at the Kia Cee'd at the moment as its cheap with a very long warranty which is ideal for us. Comparable boot sizes would be a Fiat Stilo, Ford Focus etc.

Anyone have any of these cars and manage to fit in a pram with loads of other kids stuff? i just want to make sure before i buy it.

    Many thanks parents :)
I wouldn't worry massively, you're looking at a typical family car so shouldn't have much trouble with getting a pram in, I know of plenty people with much smaller boot spaces that manage fine
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

Thats OK for the CM then that take up 4 spaces each

The CM who lurk around our Surestart put me off CM altogether. They go and sit in there every day even if there's no particular groups on, and the kids are usually just sat in the pushchairs with a bottle of juice.

first one today of a 5 wk course so will report back!
Can you believe that babies have been ousted from the bacon roll group! Rather cheeky in my opinion! They posted a notice saying 'due to demand' babies could go to a group on a Monday PM. Theres already 2 Mon PM groups! All the AM groups are pretty sought after and this particular one was first come first served which I thought was quite fair, apparently not. Just ban the under 1's!
I did ask about babies of older siblings and they are still allowed. Thats OK for the CM then that take up 4 spaces each
Oooo a wee bit ranty for so early but I've nothing to do tomorrow now :rotfl:

Aww, that's not fair. You are going to have to buy some Aldi bacon and make your own. It's all AM groups round here - a PM group would be great, save me rushing around! Although don't have as much on now that i have chucked Kindermusik. What about Rhyme Time somewhere as it's free? I need try that next week.

Pink Princess - I have no experience of toddlers, but I would start by not asking IF she wants breakfast. Ask her if she wants toast or cereal so that she gets to make the choice but it's straight forward and she has to pick one of the things that you want to offer. Not sure if that helps.

Caz - hope you are feeling better today and got some sleep.

3 - Sounds like a good night out, and I too am shocked at the lack of observation skills from your PC OH!

Thanks for replying everyone. I'm not actually the mother although some would say i do look pregnant. Ive been carrying Stella around for a few years now!

We havent got a buggy yet, i wanted to get a car with a reasonable boot and then go buggy shopping with the car so i could see what fits. We would be going on little family holidays in this car and could possibly have another child in a couple of years. It does sound like it would be ok though especially for now. I guess if another one comes along i'll have to re-plan everything!

Thanks again (i cant believe how quickly this thread moves!)

These ones:the first time you go they are all nicey nicey ask about baby and then in for the kill, ask where you work and when you are going back and totally hint that they have spaces!
As soon as you say you don't need childcare you are ignored forever more!

Thank you both - Will try this at lunch time. I know she is very independant and can dress and undress her self already - sometimes wonder if she thinks there are more exciting things to do than sit and eat
