    Morning all,

hope you're all fine :) Been up for a while, and getting a chance to catch up and post while bubs is having a nap. We had a restless night here, with a lot of tears this morning - I think we're teething as she wouldn't let me put bonjela on her top gums :( Poor baba!

Plans for today include a trip to the shop, and some tidying up around the house. I made a silly mistake yesterday which Elena profited from though: I was told that the debenhams sale was online, and I had a voucher which needed to be used in the next couple of weeks. So I went and ordered her a dress, shoes and socks, and proceeded to checkout where I must have misread some instructions and ended up charging it all to my credit card :o So, as we went into town in the afternoon anyway, she lucked out and got another outfit from the shop with the voucher :D Was good though - got a jeans/tshirt combo with 40% off, and a baseball cap with 60% off!

  • Morning all *yawn*

I think we had our first nightmare last night. At 12.30am Benjamin was really screaming and crying and throwing himself at me for a cuddle...and then went back down within (literally) seconds of me reassuring him that I was there.

I on the other hand, couldn't resettle myself at all and after about 20 mins of tossing and turning I got up and pottered around for five minutes or so. Then managed to drop off but Benjamin woke me again at 2.30am and the whole process repeated itself.

I used to find it easy to resettle myself after settling Benjamin but I have really struggled over the past week or so.

Quick question for the parents... I have a little one on the way and we need a new car as mine is breaking down alot and OH's is an ancient and very small wreck! I'm worried about boot space for prams/changing bags and all the other carp you carry around with kids!

I'm looking at the Kia Cee'd at the moment as its cheap with a very long warranty which is ideal for us. Comparable boot sizes would be a Fiat Stilo, Ford Focus etc.

Anyone have any of these cars and manage to fit in a pram with loads of other kids stuff? i just want to make sure before i buy it.

    Many thanks parents :)

  • Hiya Bufger - haven't got a Focus or a Stilo, I have a Civic...but I am not sure what you mean about loads of other kids stuff? I have a buggy in the car and take a changing bag with me (usually on the passenger seat or in the footwell underneath the baby seat if I have others in the car) but I don't tend to carry any other stuff around as a rule.

Holidays are slightly different - do you intend on going away a lot?

Congratulations on your impending motherhood :D

:hello: Hello all. Had a quick skim back through a few pages, hugs all round as they seem to be needed in quite a few places.

Weezl had a quick look at your website too and it looks great. You can tell you have put an awful lot of work into it.

I have MIL staying at the moment so won't be on much this week.

Glam saw you were in hospital but didn't see what for, hope you are ok :)

Sister's wedding thing was great and Alfie was an angel all day even though it was like baby pass the parcel. He's a right tart, not bothered in the slightest who he's with even if he's never met them before lol!

Hi bufger, do you know what pram you're getting / got? i used to have a fiesta(i think the boot on one of these is same as a focus?) and fit a loola in there which is a little bulky, i couldnt fit much else in though. maybe look up a pic of the pram you're after when its folded, some of them can fold down quite compact.

    Hi Bufger,

Congratulations on your pregnancy. My hubby has a Focus and the boot is a decent size. Our pram fits in easily leaving plenty of room for luggage/swings etc if we are going away for a couple of days. Saying that, when they are young, you will have a lot more stuff as we don't need to take swing/bouncy chair etc. I have a Megane, and it's big enough for the pram, but you can't fit much else in the boot once it's in, so the Focus is definitely more roomy.
