JM - I bluetoothed them to DH's phone which has a memory card, it also means he will be able to have them on his phone now too.

You walked up Cardiac Hill? (Or were you at the top of the hill already?) We were meant to be going today to meet up with a friend and her little girl but we went to their house instead because of the rain. If you fancy meeting up at the Botanical Gardens, let me know - Alice loves it and she would love to see Charlotte again.

I was working in little research labs already at the top of the hill! It was a small independant company not connected to the university, they just rented the unit. Would be nice to meet up again :)

No its ok, i totally understand what you mean :)

Some of them quoted me £500 though  and also told me not to touch the £140 guy! But i did and the reception venue recommened him anyway :)

It might have been people who didn't want to do the job. If Craig didn't want to do a job, it was easier quoting a stupidly high price to get rid of people, rather than saying no and have them keep pestering him :o

£140 should be ok. Like any other trade, it's the super cheap ones you have to watch. Just before he retired, he was doing a residency at the Sunderland Stadium of Light and one of the other DJ's they'd booked cheaply turned up with a couple of those traffic light flashing lights that you can get in Argos and two compilation CD's :rotfl:

Apparently there are still queues at polling stations in Sheffield and people have been waiting in three hour queues. *insert confused smilie* Whenever I've voted the polling stations have been dead.

There was a person in ours when I got there, and then 4 waiting by the time I left. That was about 4.15pm. Josh wanted to come with me as he wanted to see the ballot paper and watch me do it. Charlotte has been twice as she went with my parents this morning. Watching the coverage now.

Counting, colours etc: I natter on to Charlotte all the time while I'm busy. I say things like "lets put these three green peppers away" and count them into the fridge drawer and stuff like that. We also spot numbers, colours and things like that when we are out and about.

Poo story: think I might have posted this one before but it's funny. When my Mam had my brother, it was in the days when you had to spend at least a week in hospital after a c-section so he got his hip check and neo-natal bloods done in the hospital. A new Irish doctor was on duty in a very crisp white coat. He took the nappy off my brother and did the hip check and then did the bloods. As he put the needle in, my brother let rip and poo shot out and splattered all down the doctors coat. He calmly said "bejesus I've scared the shoite out of him" and the whole ward cracked up laughing :rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....

We ended up going at 7pm and it was heaving! Apparently there were no queues before 5.30pm. Was at our local ASDA and had one tiny station - we thought it was for the whole area but there was another station 200yds away in the local school.

They are saying now that some stations closed at 10pm regardless of queues and others that stayed open later to let everyone vote! Am sure there will be repercussions! Why did everyone wait til 9.55pm to vote??

Bless DH, we're watching the the latest election news and he's just realised that the Lib Dems aren't going to win the election, and he just said he "feels cheated" as he voted for them and thought they might win!!

and I take FULL responsibility for saying 2 horse race.. and the LD's were NOT one of them.. it'll either be blue to totally f***up the country and health and education and employment.. again.. or hopefully a hung parliament which will be best for the country right now.. and especially good for labour.. give them time to dispose of Brown and get someone with a bit of personality in place..

so.. :p:p to those who said no, it was 3 horse race..

:D.. damn I hate being right all the time.. it is such a chore!.. :D
