Aww Em that does sound v difficult indeed :( is OH definitely aware of all the consequences? :/
He is, but he is so set on it he either doesnt want to listen or is burying his head in the sand hoping it all works out which is his usual trick! I think he just thinks I am being a bridezilla and being difficult *rolleyes*

Hi ! Forgive me if this is in the wrong place ! After a bit of advice please if anyone can help? Have a 5 and a bit week old, born 5 days late at 10lb+. He has been taking bottles in 10 mins maximum every 3 hours. For the last week or so has been taking 6oz easy, but the last couple of days has really dropped off. Has been taking 3, 4 or 5 oz at the most. Has been going about 9 hours in the night. Should I try to get him to 4 hourly feeds to see if he will go back to taking 6oz, or is a trip to the doctors a better suggestion?? I'm a worrier anyway, so any advice would be appreciated!!

If he's still sleeping through then i wouldn't think it was anything to worry about, he's obviously satisfied. Or did i read it wrong :o

Hi 2boysmam, I think the important thing is your little one's behaviour and responsiveness. Is he seeming "normally" alert and active, and wetting nappies the way he was before? If not, well worth a trip. If he is, you could go anyway (or maybe a HV clinic?) for peace of mind... baby habits do change all the time at that young age!

Not seen anything in black and white but its a tory favourite isn't it? Let me know if you find anything interesting :D

Yes they were banging on about some mini-transfer which would see lots of one-worker married couples £150 a year better off, wasn't very compelling but I spose it was a token step. Surprised there isn't more out there, quite a few countries allow full transfers of tax free allowance I think :)

He has been sleeping through, but last night was v.twisty, and woke up quite a few times, but kept going back to sleep. Just worried about him, guess I always will!! Has been feeding so well until the last couple of days, then gone like that. Seems OK in himself, but has been sicking up more than normal.

GISI - I know how you feel. We went from a sleeping angel to up, down, up down - unfortunately for us it got worse. :( I agree with FattyBooBoo though about developmental changes - it's been horrendous getting him off since he got more mobile. However tonight, I couldn't be arsed with the 30min up and down the stairs so I let him fall asleep on me and put him down :o
Anything for an easy life. :)

Kinda skimmed cos I'm tired but see get well vibes needed for Mr MFD.

Jillie - Glad today was OK.

CSH - hope tomorrow goes really quickly for you.

Creche was good today - I just sat back for the hour and left J to play and they were impressed with his mobility but he got a bit whingey after the hour but only because he was hungry and wanted a nap.
Will be interesting to see if they can get him to nap when they want as he's a law to himself!

I was surprised that all the babies in there were eating mush even the 1yo's! They blended up all their food but I said that Jack would just eat it cut up or have finger food so I think they are looking forward to him going cos he'll be easy to look after!

A new poster on here...but I wouldn't be worried as long as he's alert and his fontanelle isn't depressed. Those are the main things they say to watch. I also had a 10lb+ boy and he went through a stage of not eating much. Enjoy the 9hr sleeps I say! He's only just doing that for us now!

Hubby just text to say they have ruled out Guillan Barre syndrome (huge relief) but they are sending him for a brain scan (more worry). He is waiting for the results of his bloods and then he should be coming home. The consultant has said it is probably something viral (which could mean anything really!).

:T for ruling out GB syndrome. Is there any more news yet MFD?

Em Sounds like a nightmare situation! You don't want to stop him doing what he really wants, but also don't want to be struggling for the next fews years?!?! **Confused smiley**

Jillie Glad your first day back wasn't too bad. CSH hope yours goes ok. :)

V has also decided that sleep isn't a good thing. :( She's been a nightmare going to bed, as soon as we get to the bedroom she starts crying. I've been so spoilt because she's been so good up til now. :(

Glam Are you off to the races tomorrow?

SS I like the look of your wraps too, but OH would be very like Em's and think the meat was missing! Also, i'm not sure on feeding him so many beans, he's bad enough as it is. :p
