FR - can't remember if your LO is FF or BF?? Like Bruno said it kinda just depends on whether it's hard or soft once it finally comes out. Finn only poos every 4-5 days (sometimes longer!) but it's quite soft when it does come out so it's just his thing. The doc said as long as it's not hard or bloody not to worry to much and they will eventually grow out of it. In the meantime the best you can do is what everyone else suggested - tummy rubs, etc. Water and OJ did not help us.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Caz, all I know about them is that they work with pressure, is it a bear hug vest?
Not used one, but it was mentioned in passing when Chris was about that age and threw uncontrollable tantrums, we were shown how to do a 'controlled hold' on him, which you wrap your arms around his arms and the pressure was supposed to sooth him... Usually just resulted in me having bruises to my chin.0 -
It seems to be a sort of tubigrip vest that calms children down, they think it gives them more security and they can concentrate better? i cant seem to find an awful lot about it but they said that he was calmer at the end of the session which is usually when he is at his worst! he has a few more goes at nursery and then they will send it home? Charlie like to be naked so im not sure how long he will put up with it for lol! What's for you won't go past you0

Thanks Tia! i had never heard of them and thought i would of at least been informed of the visit? they had told me it would be a tues but would phone with an exact date? Heres hoping that it works! What's for you won't go past you0

Caz - sounds interesting but I agree that they should have told you someone was going to visit...and maybe asked your permission to try something? But then again if it has worked even a little then it could be the start of something. Maybe the bank holiday got in the way - things can easily get overlooked. Fingers crossed for you. xx
Hubby just text to say they have ruled out Guillan Barre syndrome (huge relief) but they are sending him for a brain scan (more worry). He is waiting for the results of his bloods and then he should be coming home. The consultant has said it is probably something viral (which could mean anything really!).
I am very relieved but feel a bit sick and shellshocked - the thought of him being paralysed, even for a few weeks, sent my head reeling...and any linkage to strokes upsets meplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Oh MFD I'm glad they have ruled out GB Syndrome and hopefully they will be able to find out exactly what it is soon. Try not to worry yourself too much - and BTW I would have been telling OH the same things, especially if he had manage to go out on the pish.
Sorry guys - I have only read bits and only because I'm in work, and typically I can't remember what I was suppose to respond to - so hugs to all. I really can't get on properly whilst at home - the laptop is so slow and as soon as you move with it the power lead falls out and because the battery backup has had it. Liam also likes to attack the power lead *roll eyes*
I really need to chase up the insurance company again - they are suppying us with a replacement computer and Argos vouchers for everything else - but no news on when. Someone should have called me back earlier but haven't and I can't ring from work because you have to hold for ages to get through to anyone *rolleyes again!!*0 -
Oh what a huge relief though MFD
"viral" is several steps down from 'scary paralytic syndrome which can even occasionally be fatal', in the scheme of scarynesses. Hopefully it ends up being something more in the line of man-flu
Sounds worth a go I guess Caz! Quite interesting. Hopefully it helps a little anyway!0 -
MFD - glad to hear that GB syndrome has been ruled out.Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0

Excellent news MFD. Dizziness, fatigue and stuff like that can come from things like labyrinthitis, which is a nasty thing in itself but easily solved. Has he been complaining of a nasty taste in his mouth at all?
Brain scan sounds like it's there mostly to outrule anything nasty they shouldn't have missed IYSWIM - I wouldn't worry. Is he having CT or MRI?Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
