Aww Jillie that's come around so quick, must so much quicker for you. I can't believe I've been off work for over 4 months already
Mmmm cuppa and a cupcake
I really hope the netmum gets back to me about the L&G, I'm excited about getting it even though Alfie won't be able to use it yet!0 -
That makes sense Jillie. Did you work at TC before or am I comfusing you with someone else?0
-
Jillie is it a busy job you are going back too? I always think if your busy time flies, so the day won't drag by and you have time to sit and think about missing Kian if you know what I mean? Obviously you will miss him! But you aren't dwelling on it.
I don't know though, I haven't had to do that, luckily I guess0 -
Glam - do you know the tog of J's duvet? Chris's cot bed one (ikea) was only 3tog so not much different to a sleeping bag and nothing to an adult duvet, ours is 13.5tog
Glad you've finally got a bath seat Fitz! I think OH has broken ours  bloody retard!
It would probably be a 3tog as its very thin.
I'm a bad mummy cos I put him down on his front from 4 months, in his own room at 5 months and duvet at 7 months.jillie1974 wrote: »why has the last day of mat leave come around so flaming quickly ?

BM - Katie got her drops free from the chemist under Englands Minor Ailments Scheme. She always gets it at this time of year.
I don't think it's that contagious either as Katie must have had it about 7/8 times since birth and I've only ever caught it once.
Snacks for Rhys - dried fruit.
Amazing baking powder mixed with water splatted on a mouth ulcer has a pain killing effect!Proud to be dealing with my debts
DD Katie born April 2007!
3 years 9 months and proud of it

Oh my to feel wanted. Have been contemplating it. Haven't said I will make it, because then don't want to cancel. Would need driving instructions off Barton Bridge, because i am totally crap at finding places, can get to Trafford Centre, even though not been in years.

Yeah Scotland has that minor ailment scheme too, doesn't apply to adults though does it? Though last time Keira was unwell went to the chemist and quoted that got some free fake calpol and it said something like age 7+ on it. Dunno why they changed the age limit of half the medicines because they apparently don't work on under X age,yet still give you it ?!
I think Keira had conjunc once as a baby, and I used to like wiping the bogeys off her eyes with cotton wool. I'm so minging.0 -
Speaking of the duvet/pillow/age thing, Seth still has sleeping bags as he needs the restraint to stop him walking around the cot, but just today has gone down for his first sleep with a pillow in his cot! Last night he came into our bed around 3-4am and spent the whole night fighting me for my pillow, so I decided he thinks they must be comfy!! I did wonder if I was "supposed" to when I did it, but figured if he gets on with it, I'll look back in a weeks time and wonder why I stressed about it
Buttons, I had conjunc and woke up every morning for a week without being able to open my eyes  they were glued shut by the gunk! I was 18 and had to yell for my nan to come and bring me a wet flannel to soak them open with :rotfl:Mummy to

I am a bad mum too.. mine had a duvet from birth.. sometimes with a sleeping bag as well.. and a vest and sleepsuit.. and sometimes a cardy as well.. and all this rubbish about putting them to sleep at the bottom of the cot.. what a pile of... mine have creeped their little caterpillary selves UP the cot so they were squashed but I have NEVER in my life seen a baby wriggle down a cot.. that doesn't fit in with the way they wriggle about..
I weaned them when they wanted it be that 6/7 weeks for DS1 and 11.5 months for DD3..
they were swaddled and laid on their sides, fronts or back depending on where they were happy..
And they didn't have pillows until they came out of their cots when they potty trained themselves.. at 18months - 3years
I am very much an 'anything for a peaceful life' kind of person!
If I want advice I'll ask several people and do what I think is best for me whether that is a combination of the replies or something entirely different.. and I have the most fiercely independant, well-adjusted, down to earth nutty children ever.. and they are never ill.. or time it with school holidays!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
