Cheese scones, breadsticks with houmous, pasta with cold sausages chopped up with a tomatoey sauce, potato wedges with some kind of dip, cheese on toast, pitta strips. Umm, I'll have a think for some more ideas.

We've just got the jumperoo back out after putting it away about a month ago and it is much more appreciated now that he is that bit older. He seems enthralled by it!

elle, try cubing mozzarella and sundried tomatoes into pasta twirls, or chunks of ham and cheese in tomatoey sauce.

    I'm pretty sure £10 is a fab price :D

the BLW theory doesn't subscribe to the babies need food/wake in the night bit IIRC

I don't know anyone in RL that found food helped their LO sleep, in fact a few had the opposite effect including us, Ed got constipated and woke up lots straining :(

£10 is a fab price, mine was £30 and worth every penny!

Food helped K sleep. He was waking because he was hungry and milk wasn't enough.

I personally don't subscribe to the theory that babies don't need food for nutrition til 12 mths and they can just play with it without eating.

As said time and time again on here, each to their own!

Anyone else heard about this my OH's friend said he looked up pregnacare and he reckons taking it can lead to big babies I kinda thought well I dont know if thats true, but then my aunty mentioned it to me as well (although she has a tendincy to tell you something she has heard before and claim it as her own thought lol)

I did read somewhere recently that those in danger of having small babies (such as myself, going on past experience ;)) are recommended to take vitamin supplements prior to and after conception to help foetal growth. Can't remember where I read it though!

I've been a mean mummy the last couple of days.

Katie started with conjunctivitis in both eyes again on Friday so instead of putting the drops in and leaving it for the night, I put them in every 2 hours overnight too. It seemed to work as her eyes weren't stuck in the mornings. The drops need to go in every 4 hours for the next 4 days.

Katie wasn't impressed but I'm trying to clear it for a good long time.

I got folic acid (most of the time lol) no extra vitamins and Charlie was 8lb 10oz and Reece was 10lb 11.5oz! So I either had a really good intake of vitamins anyway or was just lucky/unlucky depending on your view.

I hope they don't increase in size by the difference in my two each time, I don't want a 12lb baby! Wierdly enough I was 4 days late with Charlie and 8 days late with Reece... please not 16 days and a 12lb'er with a third baby! NOT that one is on its way or being planned!

Kindof - I took Pregnacare when I was pg with Katie who weighed in at 7lb 2oz.

I was expected to have a big baby as I am Type 2 Diabetic.

I think it's like anything in life we can't all be average, so there has to be small and big babies.

Grrrrrrrr I'm on our local expat forum and there is a woman posting, I know her in the real world and she is a cluckwit. She is saying how she can't understand how any woman would ever have an elective C-section or an induction for any reason other than a medical one, because babies shouldn't have to fit in with their parents' schedules.

I'm pointing out that she doesn't know her backside from a large avocado, but I'm quite upset by her.
