and another newbieish question:
fergie was always very happy sleeping on his back but Kessie seems very uncomfortable unless on his side. I'm ok with this in the day, but we wondered if it's a bit dangerous in the night re: sids. anyone any thoughts/tips etc? xxx
there is a very good reason babies like to sleep like thatit's all to do with development of the spine and muscles etc its actually quite un natural for them to be flat on their backs hence being a common issue x
Ed still hates being flat but front or side are fine by himO wise Weezl, in a wedding service, if the whole service is traditional would it be silly to have a rock song at the end, or tacky? OH wants http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxLMF1muDqQ at the end as we sign the register.
We had concerto grosso in B minor (opera 6, No 12 Aria) by Handel, I found it on a freebie cd "romantic classics" from the DM (yes my Nan is a daily mail reader )0 -
Thanks for all the birthday wishes - Alice's birthday is actually tomorrow but we went out today because we thought it would be quieter. Seven Stories was okay but not as impressive as I'd been led to believe. Alice enjoyed it though. (Although we also went to Ikea which she enjoyed just as much.) Now I need to grind some wheat to make a birthday cake, make said birthday cake, tidy up and wrap Alice's presents.Jenny, just a thought (if you haven't already) - a few threads back, Susan posted her "diary" of what Alice ate when they did BLW. From what I recall, she was slow with actually swallowing food too. Might be useful just to see how it went for someone else on a day-by-day basis.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

you use a breathing monitor don't you? I personally wouldn't worry anyway but does that help you feel better?

A genuine question, not trying to be funny (:p know you love that phrase!) but how can it be unnatural? As in, how can lying on the side be more natural? Surely if they have to be placed and propped on their sides that would be less natural? Does a baby not usually automatically roll onto its back if left to own devices?
K started sleeping on his side occasionally when he was able to get there himself, still prefers his back tho.
When I had DD the advice was to put baby on their side to sleep. For the first 3/4 days, you put them to sleep on their tummies.0
