Have to prepare for a meeting with the accountant now. OH set it up but has tehn had to go into the office in Birmingham, so it's just sleep deprived me. I've never met the accountant before (thankfully she's female and has kids!)

eBay Daily Deal - Tummy Control Swimsuit, 3 colour choices, £7.99 Bargainous!
No accounting for Mummy's day off in Rhys world this morning! It's my parents' wedding anniversary and my Nan's birthday today so got to nip to their houses later on to deliver cards and presents. Then it's a heart scan for Rhys (at visiting time again, oh joy!) for which Daddy is skiving off early for, yay. Unfortunately he's on duty this weekend but at least does get all of Monday off so we'll have to hope for good weather and find something to do then
Hope everyone has a good day xx0 -

Morning.
Only read back a few pages as have to go to Drs shortly and need to feed A before I go as I'm leaving him at home.
So DH finally got back home at 10.45am after the stag do the other night. We had words when I got home. And I only managed til 10.30pm at the hen night lol.
Yey for good jobs and hair, boo to having to get rid of dogs and no sleep.
A was back to just waking up once at 5am for a feed last night so that's nice but I'm still tired.
Kindof thinking about E's sleeping, do you keep everything different at night when he wakes so he gets used to night time being different? We have our bedtime routine, then any wakng up after that there's little eye contact, no talking and lights really dim. We did that right from the start and A quickly learned that nighttime was for sleeping!
Don;t forget too that E is still very young, and it may take him a while to get used to sleeping at night but he will get there in the end0 -
Morning all!
My delightful son decided that 5.24am was the ideal time to get up and play this morning!! He didn't have an ounce of sleep in him so there was no chance of getting him to nod back off!
It is his morning at Pre-School with the CM too so he won't be having a nap this morning...I am fully expecting a shattered boy falling asleep in the car when I pick him up this afternoon.
My house is just covered in shoes where he keeps carrying them around and leaving them! He seems to have a thing for shoes atm - he has a pair of light-up sandals and last night he spent about five minutes banging his normal shoes on the floor and then looking for the lights :Aplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

How do you keep a baby awake during the day? he was awake loads yesterday so thought he would be ok come night time but no, it took 3 hours from having his bottle to bed (and tears from mammy)
I mean he just spazzes out in my arm after a bottle sometimes, should I wake him instead?
I am just worried that by bedtime if he's been awake too much he will be overtired and he gets mega cranky when he's tired
I know a few people have commented but I wanted to add that you will probably find he gets mega cranky when he is over-tired. I would also advocate that baby shouldn't be awake for more than 2 hours (or so...it could be 3 hours that works for you) but we never managed proper long naps until about 9 months or so. Benjamin used to sleep for 40 mins max, this then went down to 30 mins. It was ace, I could plan my day around his naps and if he slept in the car I would sit and wait for him to wake up...because I knew he would never be that long.
Basic rule - the more they sleep, the more they seem to want to sleep xx
(LOL - if it was that easy you wouldn't find us mums with older babies here moaning about sleeping!!!)Thank you - we suddenly seem to have grown hair! :j
Oh my!!! So you have!!! It looks really gorgeous and girly too :T Yay - go V!!chopsticks wrote: »
I've just sent an email to the nursery as I'm getting told different things about how well Caitlin is settling by different members of staff, so I want to clear that up. I've also asked how big the food portions are because her day sheet says she's eating just about everything they give her, so I was wondering whether they give her seconds etc. I hope they don't think I'm complaining because I'm not and I did say I'm not in my email.
Edit - choppy I quoted and then forgot to reply!!
A chat in person might be better than an email? You need to reassure yourself what is going on and build up a good relationship with them. Let us know how you get on. xx
Glam - I have seen them in Sainsburys, Asda and Tesco recently. I keep thinking about buying some but I don't think he sits in one place for long enough!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Aww, bless him!:beer:0 -
WM - did you take your half day? If so, definitely go for a lie down. And make DH take his turn at getting up during the night!
I did, I did and I am actually gob-smacked that I slept. It was bliss.
Also did not even tell OH that i had been home. And Alex slept until 4.45am had a bottle and went back to sleep until 7am, so double wammy of sleep for me.:D:D
Congrats on the new job and challenge Fitzio, shall read back more, in between catching up on work.0
