Oh I have rage for you  'see what they can do' correlates to what time-frames?

And to make this post about me and not you ;) yesterday we had a "meet and mingle" session in a swanky hotel bar for my boss's boss's boss, the 'big man' from America - less than ten minutes in the fire alarm went off and we were evacuated and then when fire engines arrived we all gave up and went home :p not a very serious impact compared to yours but I did roll my eyes.

They have committed to say yay or nay by the end of the week.

Just for clarity's sake....all my tender fuss was with the [STRIKE]HA[/STRIKE] quango that I work with...now said quango has asked the contractors to pay for my team out of their profits and backed away. The contractors were given the problem on 17 June and will have resolved it in some way by 2 July. There is something to be said for the public sector.

As for our bomb scare - why anybody would want to threaten my little office of approx 100 people working for about 20 Small Business I do not know.

Hello lovelies, MFD (not mentioning those poopy bastages, not me, no way).

I had a lovely pedicure and now my toenails are blue-green :rotfl: And tonight we're having lovely dinner, nomnomnom. Came home and Molly has on little flowery pants over her nappy and nothing else and is happily showering herself with her sippy cup :rotfl:

I've had a mega mse morning, I won a box of 84 pampers easy up pants for £2.99 on ebay which I need to pick up from one road away from me. Then I won a BNIB Tomy bedguard for £6.50 which is one road away from the outlaws and bought this m&p nuna pushchair for £5 on the market! The brakes don't work properly so it's now stripped down in my kitchen while I try to repair it.

Glam the holiday sounds fab :j

Will Alice being going to nursery?
No - it doesn't really make much sense to do so when we're planning to home educate.

VAT increases set to add £33 to the average family supermarket bill...

    PER YEAR!!!!!!

Oh my lord, has the world gone mad?

    That is 63.5p a week.

I am not saying I agree or otherwise with the VAT increase but the reporting of it is scandalous!

    Although this made me laugh:
'For instance, a gingerbread man decorated with two chocolate eyes is exempt from VAT, but if it contains any more chocolate, standard-rated VAT is charged.'

Make sure your gingerbread men only have 2 eyes folks ;)

Mum has a villa over there, she's going out for 4 weeks in August but I think it will be too hot for Jack (and expensive) so hope it will have cooled down a little by September.

The problem with OH is he doesn't like change and gets bored easily.
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

Since Benjamin was tiny he has liked to 'have a go' with my coffee cup after I have finished with it. Now he is practically beaker-safe. I have been giving him a normal beaker of water in the evenings to practice with and he spills some but not much. It won't be long before he doesn't need his sippy cup anymore :T:T
But even when he is three and hasn't needed on for over a year people will still be trying to offer him drinks in sippy cups and a highchair to eat. Seriously - I was at a friends for lunch yesterday and she wanted to give Alice a sippy cup and have her sit in a highchair. I don't think she quite appreciated that (aside from any opinions on the matter) Alice is significantly bigger than her son despite being younger so would be unlikely to actually fit in the highchair.

Can get return flights for £180 for 3 of us, free accomodation so just food and entertainment to pay for!

    Yippee - holidays! :T

I was looking at flights to Dublin when I was thinking of visiting relatives later in the summer. There was an offer of 99p flights, but when you went throught the booking it was 99p each for me, oh, J & L, and £40 for V! How does that work, she doesn't even get a seat! :rotfl:

    But that idea is scrapped now, because thanks to my wonderful, most favorite uncle in the whole world, we're going here;
    http://www.horseboycamps.com/uk-camps/scotland/

Has anyone heard of them? I hadn't, but there has been quite a few bits in the press recently.

My uncle, who's horse mad, had spotted a feature in The Racing Post and has he's made lots of money from his horses this year, offered to send us.

I'm having to take Mum with me because OH can't get the right dates off work. :(

    But anyway - :j:j:j
