Hammy – glad you are still around. Please don’t feel like you are moaning all the time. I really don’t think that at all. And if you need to have a moan, where better than here anyway?!
Sorry David’s eczema has not been treated as urgently as you hoped. Just keep pressuring the doctors as much as you can. I guess everyone thinks their cases are urgent though and there’s not really that much you can do. It is horrible to see them suffering. My brother’s LO is 6 months old and has been suffering from it quite badly. She mainly had it on her head at first, so they had been told it was cradle cap, but it’s now spread to her legs. I think if it had been caught earlier, it wouldn’t be so bad. They have steroid creams and other ointments now.

I am amazed at David’s progress – he is way ahead of Holly despite being 2 months younger (not sure exactly)! He looks very cute standing there. I don’t expect H to be doing that until she is about 2 years old!!!

Caz – I hope you don’t feel like you are being ganged up on. I am sorry if I have partly started something. You do what you think is right. It is a scary thought, starting again – especially on your own with 5 children, but you are still very young so have time on your side. Just make sure you know how much you are worth and make sure that any agreement you may come to is on your terms completely.

Beenie – Is there no-one else who could sit in with you? If you think your mother could jeopardise your reputation/chance of getting somewhere, I would rather be on my own, or reschedule when someone else can be there.
Are you looking after that kid this week??? His mum owes you a favour. Get her to sit in with you (kidding)!

Pigpen - The rain is here, in dull old Scotland. It's been a miserable day here. Still warm, but not roasting like down South.

Wahhhhh the man up the street can't get time off work to accompany me on Weds when the council bint does her STUPID "teaspoon experiment". AKA make Beenie out to be a psycho liar.

I NEED someone here with me cos although it's only going to take a few minutes, i feel i need a witness to some of the crap she says to me and i just know she's going to make a fool of me on the day. This means i'm going to have to get my alcoholic stinking mother round, and i'm worried her loud and brash mannerisms will paint a false picture of ME.

But i can't be on my own because she's gonna get this other woman to (her words) "put a teaspoon on their draining board and see if we hear it from your living room". Ummm???? Well actually. Go fook yourself cos i've never said THAT is the issue. The issue is the bench they built onto the adjoining wall which they constantly bang and slam on. The draining board isn't even on that wall.

Why is she making me out to be a liar? What's in it for her? I don't get it.

Might the HV be able to pop round? The one who helped you go to Booby group or someone on her team? That would be an excellent person to have there, and it is related to yours and Ambers welfare.

Nightmare bedtime tonight. Resorted to CC, but he actually fell asleep the second time I went up to sooth him! I guess he must have been mega tired!

It's raining over my mother's house... Can't wait till it gets here and cleans the streets... Of all the chav scum that are running round shouting...

Jam, your idea sounds good for bedtime, the key is consistency! My baby has gone to bed fantastically tonight which is great considering she (and I!) slept for longer than 2 hours this afternoon... I put her in the cot and she just chattered a bit and went off to sleep, no whinging or anything :D

If only she'd stay there past 5am though... <sigh>
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Why is there rain EVERYWHERE but here?

It will all be used up by the time it is meant to be over here.. it always is.. dribbles itself out over the oennines and I get none!

hammy.. re paed appt.. Urgent appointments usually take 6 weeks to come through. Have you had a letter saying they have received the referral? If not I'd try ringing the appointment office, they can usually give an idea of how long it will be... and will sometimes make a decent appt over the phone.. if you know which consultant he has been referred to you can ring the main switchboard and ask to speak to the paediatric consultants secretaries and they will be able to tell you if an appointment has been made already.

MFD it didn't occur to me to ask till I saw a whole FB group of Stokke-owners *doh*

Beenie, I agree with other people - health visitor or Susan would be better options, as would a careful reiteration of the problem and a call to the council to insist on being given noise monitoring equipment and a new HO.

Hammy, please don't feel like you need to lurk. We missed you. I'd call to ask when the appointment will be too, and I wish I could do something.

My throat is itchy, and although I am incredibly tired I need to eat some toast or something before (going back to) bed, I think.

Ha ha. My FB says S Smith and 2 other friends like Stokke Lovers. I didn't have to check to see which other friends like Stokkes! One of the mum's at my the P&T I occasionally go to has an orange one which is quite smart looking. Her friend has one too (black).

It's been raining here since 3, non stop. It's lovely!

What is this about the Stokke? Is something not perfect?

3, the seat of mine slides down when Molly wiggles and jiggles about in it. Apparently it can happen ...... and all it requires is a call to the Stokke people, who send out a part to stop it happening.
