Welcome and congratulations CAFC! Sorry you didn't have an easy time of it. My birth didn't quite go as I'd hoped but nothing like yours sounds.

Beenie - hope you can get your floorboard sorted! You've completely put me off the coil now! I'm currently delaying my decision on what to do in that respect. They won't give me the normal pill cos I'm overweight but the mini pill sends my moods all over the shop! To add to that I'm not good with needles and the like so running out of options!

Enjoying the weather but keep having to remember to put sun cream on Holly. She's going well overnight now. I'm waking her for a feed at about 11pm and then she wakes for one at 4am. We're finding it hard to get to sleep in the evening tho. We started the bedtime process at 7.45 last night but she remained wide awake until 10 by which point we were losing the will to live!

Any views on when I should start increasing her feeds? At the mo she's having 4oz bottles that she finishes most of the time. She's having them every 2-3hrs during the day.

I think the general rule of thumb is once they start draining most bottles then start putting an extra ounce in... Don't quote me on that though lol...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    Welcome CAFC!

Muso - as Krystal says, if she is emptying the bottles at the moment, I would start offering an extra ounce. You may find she won't need fed as often if she can fill up more at each feed too.

I've not really lost weight as in pounds on the scales. The trainer said you don't really lose weight at first as you are burning fat and building muscle, and the muscle weighs heavier than fat.

I have lost inches though. I've got down from an E cup to a D cup in bra's and from a size 16 to 14 in trousers.

The trainer commented this morning that she can see a difference in me :)

Plenty of nappies and wipes in case of delay. Change of clothes - just in case! Disposable bibs are handy as you can just chuck them afterwards.

Usually you don't get food or drinks for babies, so plenty of supplies. Something to suck or chew on at take off and landing. Healthy eating goes out the window - I fill them full of biscuits as it keeps them quiet :D

Few new (or forgotton old things) to do, like rattles, picture books, etc.

It's not that bad travelling to be honest. I've not found it stressful or a hassle with mine.

Well done on the inch loss, Becles! You sound very dedicated and I bet you can really see results.

Not sure if I mentioned it but there's an outdoor circuit class starting up near me next week. It's pay as you go and only £3.50 a session which seems very :money: to me.

Aless- have you tried the Organix snacks? H isn't very keen on them as they dissolve very quickly. He much prefers rice cakes which last a bit longer. We like the Boots ones which are flavoured with apple juice. We also prefer the Ella's Kitchen ginger cookies to rusks- much less messy!

Congrats and welcome CAFC! It sounds like you and LO are both doing well.

I'm back from Center Parcs- it was seriously hot! The rapids pool was brilliant but the evening was a bit of a let down. Maybe I was just feeling a bit urgh, but there was a BBQ, but no veggie stuff on the barbie (there was salad and potato wedges, but it's not the same) even though I'd emailed them to remind them I'm veggie, and there was another veggie there too. Then it was just drinking all evening which I couldn't really be bothered with. I think I am probably just a miserable old woman, but I'd rather have been with my boys!

    Hi CAFC!
sorry you didnt have a good birth, mine too was bad. i was induced then failed ventouse. forceps and finally EMC. i wouldnt worry about not remembering it. there are parts of mine that i cant remember either. what i would say is if you feel liek crying, cry. dont bottle it up as that will make it worse and if you are on your own at home and feel like having a rant/moan/worry come on here as there is always someone to listen.

    lovely name too btw.

I did think that as well, I'll probably write it out for myself iff I ever regain enough of my memory to make any sense of it.....

I think everyone is worried I'm going to get PND which I'm classed as a risk for.......and having the birth we had only adds to that likelihood according to the madwife

You can also go over your notes with the midwife (:rotfl: @ madwife) and that might help. I also had a traumatic birth and am having counselling, which has helped a lot.

I'm sorry it didn't go to plan. I hope you're doing ok.

If I hadn't paid up front, the pay-by-session would put me off going the first time because I'd be able to make excuses for not going, whereas if I'd paid ahead of time I'd be wasting money and would go.

I hate it when people think wedges and salad is enough for veggies. on your behalf.

We went to the pool and had a lovely time, then stopped for late lunch. Dinner is supposed to be in an hour and I am stuffed.

I'm glad the pool was good SS. Did Miss Molly love the water?

While I am inclined to agree with you about the pay as you go classes, DH works shifts so I can only go when he is around so most 'term' long activities are a bit of a waste of money as I can only go about 2/3rds of the time.

Henry has learned a new sound while I was away :T. It is very cute indeed.

CAFC Congratulations!!! my advice would be to keep talking even if its just on here and to get it off your mind, i think when things go around they snowball and then you explode! glad to hear you have had so much help and can i also add how amazing you look in you after birth pics! am sooo not jealous PMSL :D

Mel that is really scarey that they can take money from your card like that without needing passwords etc, Lewis has been asking for xbox live and now i am thinking twice about it!
How are you and baba doing xx

I think i have set a world record!! 15 mins total in and out of A&E. Abi dislocated her elbow(she has done this twice before) so we took her straight to the hospital. i explained to the doctor and he clicked it back in and let us go! i expected an afternoon of sitting around etc :D

hope everyone is good, think im off to lie in the garden and enjoy the rest of the sun! x
