EG - I think I'm doing ok..... although the concoction of meds I was given to induce, speed up, have c section, be put under last minute and recovery has knocked me for six. And then they tell me afterwards I may feel like this for a month! Although to be fair I'd have gone through anything to get him out into the world safely.....Its mostly my memory, I cant remember squat! I have to write everything down for myself, like when I've taken my meds, when he fed, what time I ate etc
Aside from that though I've been out for a walk every day since we got out of hospital, my wound is still pretty sore and i forget that staying in any position for too long makes it ache in various places, but thankfully i had the bead out last week and it didnt hurt, and I was dreading that! I've even managed a couple of hours shopping two days, but I just make sure I take it easy....
How anyone can follow all the recommendations for 6 weeks though is beyond me.... I've still done things like put washing on, bending, i've carried some things but not anything massively heavy.... but to follow everything they tell you to is just mind blowing. Plus husband is back at work so I dont have anyone else around after this week when my mum goes home, to do them for me....
Jakes - Yes thats our first "fake baby" Gordon Ramsay the Pug, who has surprised us all and done quite well with the baby, he gets a bit over excited and wants to lick him, and I have trouble restraining him if I'm sat on the sofa with baby in arms, as 've only got one hand free and need to keep the dog off my wound and off the baby.... but its mostly the smell of the milk that excites him he'll sit quite calmly on the sofa next to me when we're just sitting....
SS - We're getting there I'd say. I'm happy about my decisions with feeding Landen after drama in hospital over it.
We have visit with midwife tomorrow and he'll be weighed again so Im hoping it'll be good news.....
Also registering his birth tomorrow as well so he'll be a real live person....
Broken sleep is quite a challenge, esp as I try to let DH sleep as much as possible during the nights because he has 12 hour shifts at work to do, admittedly only for 3 days so when he's off we've got an agreement that he'll do more of the night feeds.
Other than that....... I think we're ok LOLWealth is not measured by currency0 -

No, he is p!ssed with me for not monitoring the stupid xbox, because he was opposed to getting it in the first place. He is a PS3'er and hates Xbox/Microsoft....I talked him round because all ds1's mates have Xbox's!!!
I blame him for stupidly putting his card details in the thing....I didn't even realise he had done tbh.
and sm, I agree ds1 obviously knew a bit what he was doing otherwise he wouldn't have tried to cover it up.....I told him I am very tempted to smash the bloody thing and chuck it in the bin, but instead he is going to be earning his pocket money as usual alnong with ds2...once they have both hit the £40 target they were aiming for anyway, ds2 can go to gamestation and ds1 will be giving every penny to me!!!
I am so annoyed, I have been putting off getting baby monitors because we are a bit tight on money atm.....that would have covered the cost of them. I was also going to go and treat mt baby girl to a couple of pretty sleepsuits and rompers tomorrow....I can't now:(Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

mel he cant hate the xbox that much if hes put his bank details on to pay for a game .. hes just unfairly taking his annoyance out on you ... ((hugs)) again ...
right off to the parkx
Still searching .....:)

I know this is totally too much info but since none of you, or me are real people then its ok i can rant
... my flipping coil has fell out  how does that even happen?! It's not like i was dilating or anything so how did it fit through the cervix lol?? The strings were just hanging out and i discovered the thing was no longer as internal as it should be!! I've put it in the bin :rotfl: The MSE in me felt quite sad since tia said how they cost £150. I'd have totally sold it on ebay if i could.
Well on the plus side, the constant cramping stopped as soon as it was out and i feel almost human again. Don't think i want another mirena, will stick with the copper one.
Sorry for the tmi
Eek! I'm due to have a mirena coil fitted in a couple of weeks time - I don't much like the sound of that .Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

It was a map pack for ds1....
If we realised it could just be used by anyone we would have made ds1 wait and just bought him the points card from town.
Too late now:( I am just so upset over the whole thing....esp with some !!!! ringing the police fgs.....they literally walked in asked what was the matter and just said they get a lot more calls in summer because people windows are open so any spats that usually get missed by nosy neighbours get heard in the summer!!!!Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Oh well nap opportunity has now been and gone, plus FIL due just after lunch.
I just feel that everyone is trying to ruin my first days with my lovely new baby:(. Me and dh aren't exactly getting on atm anyway, without extra crap being added to the mix:(
Going to make lunch for the kids.Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Congratulations CAFC!!!

I know exactly what you mean. The midwife told me off for overdoing things - I managed to make my wound bleed again - and she told me that I shouldn't be doing more than possibly pottering from one room to another, or going up the stairs a couple of times in the day. Hello?! Just how did she ever think I could do that with a newborn baby, a hyperactive 4 year old, and a husband who works full-time? Just what world do they live in?
Incidentally I was shocked (pleased, but shocked) that they let me out the hospital the morning after I had the c-section this time - to be honest I think that was due to the fact they had the Noro virus at the hospital and were petrified to think of us new mums coming down with it or our babies....
Beenie - were you ok after putting your foot through the floorboard?
Mel - sending you a hug. Men can really be unreasonable - they must think we have super powers....Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

Hello All
Putting a tentative toe in the water.... as it's a bit scary
Realised I finally have to leave the pregnancy thread, which in itself made me a bit teary, had an absolute blast over there with the girls but now our little man, Landen has joined the world, June 18th by emergency c section, weighing in at 8lbs 7....I've become a mummy.....and thats well scary!!!!
So just wanted to say hello really, not sure I'll ever be able to keep up with this thread, was bad enough with the pregnancy thread (although most of that was me chatting), let alone trying to follow this one with baby in tow xx
Hi CAFC girl :T
Seen his piccies on facebook, soooo cute.
Glad all is well - how are you finding it? I'm finding it easier to keep up with this thread than expected.
*hugs* to mel
and beenie....you could write a book!Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Hey CAFC congratulations i totally forgot to bring that bouncer chair over, should i bring it next week?
Redstar don't let that put you off the nurse did warn me it can happen and it wasn't painful or anything when it came out, well i didn't even realise until i felt the strings sticking out but they were ridiculously long, i wonder if i'd have even noticed it had fallen out, until my next period or something?! It's not like i'm getting any action haha.
I have a great big dip in my bedroom now, i was ok though cos it's carpeted so i didn't fall through the ceiling or anything :rotfl: Lucky that the broken board didn't break through the ceiling that would have been messy.
Am gonna ring the council tomorrow and say it was DS:rotfl:
Mel that's awful that he's even arguing with you so soon after T's birth  Why are men such !!!!heads :mad:0
