    use a bottle teat beanie?
  • Anyone get the impression that the media are reporting much worse news about the budget than 'real' people are experiencing?

I am not saying that anyone was applauding the budget but we have a fairly wide range of people here and whilst there was some disappointment it wasn't all doom and gloom like the papers/news are reporting.

I am home alone tonight (hubby has taken his workforce out for/after the match) and the night seems to be going on forever!! Benjamin is unsettled though so I have done a few trips up and down the stairs!

I don't know if anyone remembers my post about the Boots pharmacist saying I couldn't take anything for my cough because I am BFing, then another pharmacist offering me several suitable cough mixtures. Well I emailed Boots to complain that this isn't the first time I have had a blanket 'can't take anything' from their pharmacists because they can't be arsed to look it up. I had a reply from Boots saying that their pharmacist have the right to refuse medication to anyone....hmmm that's helpful. They totally missed the point of my compaint .

i remember you posting about that and agree, completely missing your point. any benefit in complaining again??

Gill - DH and I go without stuff so that we can afford to do the lessons as she gets so much out of them. The best bit is when you're on holiday and your child is there flinging themselves around the swimming pool armband free the horrified looks of other parents is priceless.

We've had to invest in this as the normal size paddling pools aren't big enough, as she dives in banging her head.

whatever works though right??? my LO can be hit and miss with medicine. never had a problem giving by spoon, then simply refused, was then okay with a syringe, now she will only take it when SHE wants it....hmmmm.... she's like that with many things :D

  • Maybe, AF. Maybe I need to word it more clearly to get my point across.

MFD- I'm home alone with bubba too and it is hot, hot, hot here. Currently 26 degrees in the nursery but I am praying for a better night as I need some decent sleep.
