Morning all. Hope all Daddies are having a fabulous Father's Day . DH loved his 'Just like Daddy' book - thanks MFD!

Been feeling a bit low the last few days as it was the 4th anniv of my m/c but feeling much brighter now. DH had some time off (as I was supposed to be in Las Vegas!!) and took me to see Martina Hingis play and then out for a meal.

Children are napping and DH has just made me breakfast

Sorry to harp on, especially if I've said this to you before (I remember telling someone) but just wanted to check you know that DOH recommends keeping LO in same room as you until they are 6 months. I think it reduces the risk of SIDS.

Also can I just say, not to anyone in particular, it isn't naughty to have LO in bed with you although I do agree bringing LO into bed just when then cry may precipitate bad habits.

That sounds just like E, he will fall asleep in his bounceror car seat but when hes in a state of over tired he needs swinging in his car seat which isnt good cos hes heavy lol

But we have a swing like that but that doesnt work, he has to be swung in his car seat till he's calmed, then he can be rocked

Anyone know of long sleepsuits for their ages? E is 14 weeks nearly and is too long for his 3-6 month sleepsuits but the next one up are too long lol

Sadly, Birthday and Fathers day are two days in a row and i've never been one to get too excited about either - my girls get waaaayyyy more excited about them both. Oh well at least next year both fall on the same day so I don't have to endure two days of it. We're going for a family day out and some nice lunch, so all is good.

We found M&S come up quite long- just their basic white ones. Also some Asda do, but some don't so it's a bi hit and miss.

Henry is currently nomming on Pesto Rigatoni- he is mostly licking the sauce of but seems to have managed to get some of the pasta too.

I hope everyone is having a nice Father's Day. I'm gutted that OH is at work, but at least he will have a lovely BBQ to come home to later (I hope). I still need to make rice krispy cakes, make salad and skewer things, but I think I am mostly done.

Gosh Elliot is long! Don't know of any particularly long sleepsuits here I'm afraid as everything is long on Alfie!! He's dinky like his mummy

Well I am trying to remain calm and unhysterical despite my mixer currently not working. Sometimes when making buttercream if the butter is too cold and it's all a bit stiff it slows right down, well today it stopped and I couldn't get it working for ages and now it's really hot It is going to be an incredibly long day if I can't get it working ok

And my mum now has Alfie but I can't get anything done til mixer cools down. :rolleyes:

Hey all and happy fathers day for any daddies lurking

Don't know where this morning has gone! Really need to get my butt in gear. Tahlie got her daddy pic frame, keyring and some socks and he loves them. While he was out walking the dog I phoned and booked us in for parent and baby splash next sun morning. Numbers are limited to 36 which is why you need to book, under 2's are free tho so v mse it will be Ts first time swimming so we are both quite excited, shame we won't be able to take pics.

Underwear wise I got some nursing bra's at mothercare reduced to £13 for 2 (were £26), did quite well cos the match the nicks I got in the sale last time around so for the first time in ages I have matching undies lol.

Q? How do those huggies swim nappies come up? T isn't 13lb yet but I know the nappies she uses say 13lb and are too small. We have several huggies swimmers in small but am thinking I should maybe get some medium.

Have been away collecting some Netmums bargains!

I've got this swing, a v-tech walker, this garage and cool dino thing
for £40! Am chuffed as they are all in great condition and the swing is still in the box.

I'm still waiting for my new cooker - I hate waiting in on such a lovely day. I've cleaned everywhere, ironed everything and now i'm bored. OH has took V over to see his Dad, L is out with my Mum & Dad so it's just me and bangy boy.

ETA: A big white van has just driven past very slowly, three times. I wonder if it's looking for my house number?
