Tigster that is a lot going on! Glad all are home and well now though

My mum is bringing my baby back cos he's crying and she can't calm him down
Sure he'll be fine once he gets here and was just missing mummy cuddles. Good job my mum is only 5 minutes away too. 0 -

Similar issues here, SJ... I think we should have left for my parent's BBQ by now and the biscuits are still in the oven!
I've just finished clearing up the trail of crumbs and chocolate smears Rhys has left all over the carpet and his foam mats after he thieved a chocolate digestive off the sofa - was like one of those monkeys that pinches something then scampers away with it! :rotfl: Am quite proud of the fact he sat there and ate it all though since we haven't done much finger food for a while

I always do this! I don't follow any recipes really for cakes and I always seem to put them in a bit late for whatever I'm supposed to be doing next. I really ought to write down how long each size takes. Can't even remember what time these went in.0

sj ive never done measurements and ive never timed a cake and its always turned out lovely ... well i guess as much as its never around long enough :rotfl: if its smells done i stick a knife in the middle if its sticky it goes back in if its clean then its done ... thats just me though

But we have a swing like that but that doesnt work, he has to be swung in his car seat till he's calmed, then he can be rocked
Anyone know of long sleepsuits for their ages? E is 14 weeks nearly and is too long for his 3-6 month sleepsuits but the next one up are too long lol
Oh no....I might have to rethink the swing then as I would hate to spend that money and it not work  Is not really a swinging motion then?
re sleepsuits T is long and i found his boots mini mode ones were the longest, or mothercare seem to be a bigger fit than most.
I'm thinking of buying an electric breast pump. Anyone got any reccommendations? I have a tommee tippee manual one which I hated as it took such a long time and hurt my hands and nipples lolMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Gill, we bought Holly as swing for exactly the same reason and she loved it. She had a bit of colic, and we swung her one day in the car seat and she instantly calmed! We bought a swing the next day. Not sure it necessarily calmed her ever time, but she liked it anyway. We had Argos vouchers to use. It was the Fisher Price Take Along Swing so must be similar to the one you linked to (but Rainforest design). I actually found it really useful anyway as something to pop her in for 5 mins if I needed to do something, even when she was a bit older as she couldn't really get out of it. We got more use out of that than her bouncer (which she liked a bit more when she could bounce it herself when she was a bit older).
Not sure if that helps! Just really saying that all experiences are different so don't discount it because it didn't work for somebody.0 -

If you can afford it, go for the Medela Swing. It's got two-stage pumping (rapid for 2 mins until let-down, then slower) and adjustable suction. I used one for a couple of months after they took away my hospital pump (sniff!), even converted it to work as a double for a while!:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls
