And I now have half-a-pack of the smallest size of Huggies Swimmers, if anyone wants those! They're the extra-Small 7-13lb. PM heading your way Mel!

Andrew went swimming three times on hols, the first two times he wasn't impressed (pool too cold) but the third time was at the Rhyl Sun Centre (tropical) and he had a ball!

    Morning all :)

Lazy day for OH and Rhys here while I sort the house out and dig out my work stuff for tomorrow - had ten days off and seem to have lost everything work related in the abyss of packing and unpacking for the holibobs! We're going to my parents for a BBQ later on to see all my grandparents and I also need to do some baking in the meantime so I have a Father's Day present for my dad and grandad! :o

Mel, my basic pants are from Debenhams (think I bought them in the sale, 5pk for £4.20 sounds familiar) and tshirt bras from Asda (£4, white/nude/black/aqua/purple...) :)

    Happy Father's Day Bruno :D

Hope everyone has a nice day xx
  • Morning all. Hope all Daddies are having a fabulous Father's Day :). DH loved his 'Just like Daddy' book - thanks MFD!

Been feeling a bit low the last few days as it was the 4th anniv of my m/c but feeling much brighter now. DH had some time off (as I was supposed to be in Las Vegas!!) and took me to see Martina Hingis play and then out for a meal.

Children are napping and DH has just made me breakfast :D

Hope everyone is well and hugs for all in need.

    xx

    Morning everyone!

We had a great night here - Holly slept in her cotbed! We'd planned on her sleeping in her moses basket in our room for at least a couple of months but we'd noticed when we put her in the cot for naps she seemed to fall asleep much quicker so we gave it a try. Also, given that our house is so tiny she's still only about 2 metres away from us! There are advantages to a teeny house. Anyway, she slept from 8-12, then 12.30-4.30, then 5-7 with her feeds in between! We haven't even had any major throw up explosions just a bit of dribble this morning!:j:j:j

Sorry to harp on, especially if I've said this to you before (I remember telling someone) but just wanted to check you know that DOH recommends keeping LO in same room as you until they are 6 months. I think it reduces the risk of SIDS.

Also can I just say, not to anyone in particular, it isn't naughty to have LO in bed with you although I do agree bringing LO into bed just when then cry may precipitate bad habits.

    Evening ladies.

We've been to my parents for a chinese meal tonight, T was very well behaved considering he was very over tired after not napping all day. The only thing that seems to sooth him when he gets in that state is DH swinging his car seat (rocking isn't enough lol) so I'm considering buying a swing.

This one seems about the cheapest and I can buy it with nectar points so technically not costing me anything. He has a bouncing cradle which he loves if he's in a good mood but won't tolerate if he's in a state so I'm thinking the swing could be a blessing for me when he won't nap through the day.

He's managed to get to sleep on his own tonight although it took half an hour. He was whinging for a while then just lay quietly looking out, then finally dropped off. We're back on the routine from tomorrow and sticking to it rigidly - parents etc will have to put up with us going much earlier for tea etc and him being in bed when they come here.

I like the sound of buggyfit but they have no trainers in Manchester booo :(

That sounds just like E, he will fall asleep in his bounceror car seat but when hes in a state of over tired he needs swinging in his car seat which isnt good cos hes heavy lol

But we have a swing like that but that doesnt work, he has to be swung in his car seat till he's calmed, then he can be rocked

Anyone know of long sleepsuits for their ages? E is 14 weeks nearly and is too long for his 3-6 month sleepsuits but the next one up are too long lol

I hope all dads are having a nice day and everyone else is enjoying being nice to dad :rotfl:

Sadly, Birthday and Fathers day are two days in a row and i've never been one to get too excited about either - my girls get waaaayyyy more excited about them both. Oh well at least next year both fall on the same day so I don't have to endure two days of it. We're going for a family day out and some nice lunch, so all is good.

Hope everyone has a great day and everyone is well at the moment.

We found M&S come up quite long- just their basic white ones. Also some Asda do, but some don't so it's a bi hit and miss.

Henry is currently nomming on Pesto Rigatoni- he is mostly licking the sauce of but seems to have managed to get some of the pasta too.

I hope everyone is having a nice Father's Day. I'm gutted that OH is at work, but at least he will have a lovely BBQ to come home to later (I hope). I still need to make rice krispy cakes, make salad and skewer things, but I think I am mostly done.

Gosh Elliot is long! Don't know of any particularly long sleepsuits here I'm afraid as everything is long on Alfie!! He's dinky like his mummy :)

Hugs SB. How nice of your hubby to get you breakfast :)

Well I am trying to remain calm and unhysterical despite my mixer currently not working. Sometimes when making buttercream if the butter is too cold and it's all a bit stiff it slows right down, well today it stopped and I couldn't get it working for ages and now it's really hot :( It is going to be an incredibly long day if I can't get it working ok

And my mum now has Alfie but I can't get anything done til mixer cools down.
