Hi Everyone,
Very long time no speak. Hope you're all Ok.
I've come back as I require some money saving advise and you lot are the first people I rthought of.
I'm indesperate need of a playpen/room guard. I've seen one's which open out to divide off rooms or can be locked into a playpen shape instead. I think it would be really useful for me but am looking at about £90! Has anyone seen any good deals out there.
I'm thinking Tom could use it as a play pen sometimes, and sometimes I could just block off the kitchen to give him a bit of freedom (we have open plan kitchen living room)
Thanks everyone!

Yay i sold the phone on eBay :T I was trying my luck with a BIN of £25, but within minutes someone had offered £10, i countered with £20 and they bought it LOL. I only paid £7 for it cos it was £12 on the Orange site but i used my phone fund to pay the rest.

Afternoon all..
Really dreary weather here.. you'd never guess it was June!
OH just back from Morrisons with bacon butty ingredientsAfter brekkie/brunch/lunch he's taking Rhys to his parents and I'm off into town with my mum
Jvic, my mum has one of the (Lindam?) playpen/room dividers you mean - she got it from Amazon which was cheapest at the time, think it was £60something so same as you've found
Hope everyone's having a good day xx0 -
Thanks Elle, must be the same one I just saw. The Lindam one looks best suited. How does she find it?
How r u and Rhys? Belated happy birthday to the little one. I can't beleive how quick it's gone. Getting a little emotional, being on here again takes me right back to a year ago. Getting a bit broody again! That might not be the fridges fault. In the natural environment, cut beef reacts with oxygen in the air and the meat goes brown. People don't like to buy brown meat, so packaged beef is in containers filled with nitrogen to keep it blood red for longer. Sometimes air does get into the packages and the meat goes brown, but it's still safe to eat.
If it's green, slimey looking or smells bad, then it's not safe to eat!
Boot camp was tough but I enjoyed it.
Did the usual brisk walk to the playing fields then jog round the football pitch to warm up, then did some stretches.
Then did relays where we were in teams of 4, and each person had to sprint to the cones, do 10 star jumps and 10 press ups, then run back. The losers had to run round the field. Then we did it again with 10 knee kicks and 10 mountain climbs instead.
Did some circuit training and the groups moved round each activity. First we had to do travel lunges to the cones carrying a medicine ball and back. Then we had parachutes on, which inflate behind when you run making it harder work. Had to sprint to the cones and jog back.
Lastly we did some boxing where you had to do 10 jabs, then run to the cones and back, then to 20 and twice there and back, 30 and three times there and back, then swop over the pads and gloves and repeat.
Then a set of 10 jabs, 10 hook punches, and 10 punching up, repeating three times before swapping pads and gloves.
Then we went back to the relay races but had to do all 4 exercises and then back again.
Then it was step work - running hard up a flight of steps and jogging back down the side. Repeat for about five minutes.
Lastly we did a load of different types of crunches and leg lifts to work on our tummy muscles.
Then cool down and streching.
It's quite a bit of work but I always feel pleased I did it at the end. Here I go again on my own....0 -
I need a lie down after just reading all that :eek:0

Becles, you make me jealous as I would actually love something like that - I just need the group environment/leader structure to keep me motivated.
