can I be a complete newbie and ask a question:

(please bear in mind I am not used to a normal poo pattern)

Is 6-8 poo nappies in a 24hr period normal at Kessies age, and how do you kind of know they've finished if it's that frequent? Do you kind of wait a few mins and then change, change immediately or some other creative idea?

If they poo while eating do you usually stop, change and then carry on or only if it's a korma all up the vesty moment?

    Thanks :)

What *is* a 'normal' poo pattern??

I ALWAYS wait before changing a poo - they quite often can do another bit 5 mins later :D And 6-8 can be 'normal', as can 1 - it's a bit like adults - some go 3x day, some once a week.... If pooing whilst eating I leave and change when finished (although if it's b/f eating I change whilst b/f on my lap:p)

Is it only my dirty mind that can see a willy :o
Tia - do you think you might disturb her as you go up and down your willy stairs? Personally I would have a door put on and get it all over and done with at the same time.

Poo's, my poor baby has exploded again. She's been poorly all week. Brought up her dinner last night. Could teeth do that?

    weezl is being very naughty!

FWIW whenever Finn's doing his weekly poo, we just wait until it's all out and finished, holding his legs up and cleaning as he goes. I guess this only works if you know they'll get it all out in the next 15 minutes. Also, I've never stopped a feed to change but we've also been lucky and never had an up-the-vest-chicken-korma poo.

SM, we do miss you and I hope you won't let one little evening's topic of conversation drive you away. I think people say things out of genuine concern & love, not to make you feel bad.

weezl (again), while you're here, can I just ask if you did the purees route with Fergie or more a BLW approach? Just being nosey (because if you did BLW on the £90/month then I want to get advice!!).

Don't think I could ever master nappy changes on my lap while bf!

Hi Greent, I remember you :) How was the BLW? I'm trying it with Erin now and she finally eat some broccoli last night but we were struggling and found baby rice was the only thing that would go down for a while.

yep, fergie is mostly BLW apart from when our dinner is too sloppy for hands (like cottage pie!)

Although kristal is braver than me and C does smooshy food with her hands (hope I remembered that right!)

    What questions have you got?

well not so much now as we're not ready yet (he's only 17 weeks today), but just when that time comes on good starter foods that will fit within a very meagre budget (since my knowledge, so far, extends mostly to vegetables and more expensive fruits). You don't have to respond now, I just wanted to establish as source of information, :rotfl:.

(not that I won't want advice from anyone else on BLW, but wanted to pick weezl's brain on how she did it on £90/month! ;))

Yep, she gets all her food put in front of her, apart from soup lol... Although I do dip her bread and let her feed herself that... She seems to be going the other way though and likes me to feed her...
