can I be a complete newbie and ask a question:

(please bear in mind I am not used to a normal poo pattern)

Is 6-8 poo nappies in a 24hr period normal at Kessies age, and how do you kind of know they've finished if it's that frequent? Do you kind of wait a few mins and then change, change immediately or some other creative idea?

If they poo while eating do you usually stop, change and then carry on or only if it's a korma all up the vesty moment?

    Thanks :)

The comments about it are interesting here http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pages/Breastfeeding-Older-Children/199651282295?ref=ts
    specifically this
What did you all think about the presenter's comment about an "orchestrated campaign"? It was as though he was trying to dismiss the objections. It's a common technique in fact construction, called the dilemma of stake. By constructing people as having some kind of stake, or interest, of their own, their version can be made to seem less believable... See more. Interesting that Tizzie's own stake, i.e. selling her books, was not brought up. She's just an "expert" (using another notion called "category entitlement") and those who objected to her advice are an "orchestrated campaign".

Thanks Sami, I've just sent another email:

    Hi,

I emailed you yesterday about my concerns about the segments on breastfeeding, and am moved to do so again - this so-called expert is now talking about sleep problems and routines, and is making very little sense. Breastfed babies do not necessarily feed on a routine, partly because maternal output can be different from day to day and partly because babies use cluster feeding - particularly in the evenings - to increase supply.

I notice that she is now telling viewers that it's their own fault for misunderstanding her advice because they've not read her book. I suggest it's made clear to Tizzie that it is her responsibility to make sure that the viewers understand clearly what she means.

    Yours, disgusted,

8 poos a day is fine and was common for Erin. As for finishing you just have to get good at mopping up poo on the change mat! I usually used a 1/2 hour rule so I would change her nappy but if she or we were too busy to change it I would leave it for a max 1/2 hour to avoid nappy rash.
