Hi weezl :hello:
Like everyone else has said I wouldn't be too worried, they all develop at different stages so I wouldn't start to worry until much later on but that's easier said than done!
Oh and BIL was 2 before he walked!
We still have no teeth at 9 months!
I'm on training today but just had lunch of a sandwich and chips - nomnomnomnomnomnomnom!!
Speaking of BIL, did I mention he's coming back? He's under strict instructions that as soon as he gets his exam results in August then he either moves out on his own (passes exam) or moves back home (fails exam).
I'm gonna miss the spare room for 6-8 weeksA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
I think we looked into it a year or so ago, although OH is now over 25 and I 'think' his points have all expired now too, he is still a higher insurance risk than your lovely mum tho
I shall tell FIL to call them up then I can stop speculating
I didn't think of that - your OH is only a baby whereas my Mum isn't! :rotfl:And she's never had any points, probably because she's never driven over 25mph.
If you saw my Mum driving, you'd definately not consider her to be a lower insurance risk than anyone.
I'm sooo bored. I'm uploading all of our cd's onto itunes after we lost them a while back when the laptop died.:beer:0 -
My grandbrat
Oooh i have a perfect excuse to wriggle out of the Brat basbysitting here... I've just had a text "hi thanks for getting Brat tomorrow really appreciate it, i can take DS on Fri if you're free?"
Well... we're not free, we have Beavers. And i don't really want to mention Beavers in case she joins him up ().
Can anyone tell me how to word it so i'm basically saying i can't do it, don't want to be tied into it every week... Without being arsey and still keeping things friendly?! Or is it not possible?0 -
oh I hate the whole mp3 thing with CDs I like having my cds but whats the point of them all being in a box and most I've not bothered to put on itunes and they wouldn't all fit on my iphone/lappy anyway I don't think - bah!

My friend got stopped the other day for driving too slowly - the police reckoned she must be drunk to be so slow and cautious!!! She is always like that (and has been rear-ended at roundabouts a couple of times because of it).
Beenie - would you be prepared to play the 'not coping very well' card with her? Perhaps say that you are really struggling and finding it really difficult to cope and at the moment looking after her son is just too much for you? Apologise and say that you need to look after your health for the sake of your kids (a kind of 'I am so depressed - woe is me' response).please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

If she has the cheek to ask what that is then she is an even bigger bint than we already thinkbut could you say the dog needs taking somewhere and its too much to take her brat along too or that you're looking after your sisters brats instead ??

When you say lactulose is foul do you mean the effects or that you had trouble getting F to take it? I'm trying prunes in pear juice whizzed up at the mo but he barely eats any (and I don't blame him it tastes gross)
But I also mean the effects. Like it gives you a sudden crampy sensation, bad wind and then stingy acidy runny poo, which really hurt fergie's (torn) bottom

Id tell her they are fighting all the time and it's too stressful, Beenie. They need a break from each other and not just a few weeks. Or I'd be really sarky and say that someone else has asked you to provide free childcare and their kid is much nicer.
Weezl, don't worry about SALT, in my experience they won't even look at a child under 3 because it's not a problem till then. Lots of children talk later. I think you are clever enough to know that you are speaking to him enough bla bla bla (which is what I was lectured about, 'oh do you let him watch tv all day?' yeah totally cos I lock him in a cot and let him stare at tv and never speak to him at all, you idiot) read books and talk about the pictures. And SALT's don't appreciate HV sending children off to see them with supposed speech problems, they much prefer nurseries to send them because they actually spend soem time with the child.
Speaking of nursery, that was one thing that REALLY helped Chris. Going to nursery and seeing children his age speaking, so if you were worried, I'd look down that road rather than SALT.0 -

I've heard of it, but not been. I think they're constantly advertising on the radio. Why, are you going?:beer:0 -
thanks guys.
3 I think if at his 1 year check he had mama, dada and det-down she'd have been ok, but his one year check he had no words at all and no measurable comprehension.
He now at 15 months has daddy and yeah, but not used in the right way. ie normal would be that he's say 'daddy' to DH, but if not then at the very least to all blokes. But not at nothing/an envelope.
Apparently this is abnormal.
So anyway, I have been sad about it and didn't really know how to come on and talk to you all because of it.:o
So there it is.
Perhaps I'll ask to be referred privately to SALT and then I'll know? That'd be better than not knowing what to feel.
MFD re your HV chat FWIW Benjamin has significantly more words than I think is usual, he is in the top 20% according to most of the info, so very well done to you :T:T:T:T
