Happy Birthday SugarSpun for yesterday and I hope Budapest is as lovely as the Hungarian women are.
Hope Glamazon is enjoying her belated celebrations and everyone else is well.0 -
I had to have children at my wedding.. my son was 3.. my sisters were 7, 11, 11 and 13 and my brothers were 15 and 4.5. Many of my cousins were little too.
The one good thing was my son was looked after by everyone else so I kind of got the day off from him as he had an audience to play up for!
EA I think it is more dispicable the parents of poky child were not looking after it properly and allowed the prodding to be done to your cake in the first place.
I love having children at family parties thoughLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I want to make it clear that I have nothing against children at weddings! I just think that you should not cast aspertions on people who chose not to have them. It's an individual choice. I have been to 2 weddings this year and neither have invited Holly, but I am in no way offended. And one of the couples has a 1 year old who was there for the ceremony and then went to childminder after the meal.
Anyway, have a good trip to Budapest SS. We are off to MILs for a few hours. It's a wet day anyway so nothing better to do!0 -
J had a bottle @ 11pm, then didn't wake til 6am :j then went back from 7am til 9am (sorry Krystal). So it was either the re-introduction of the C&G Goodnight milk (which is being discontinued) or the huge tea he had at 5pm!
Hopefully I can change my hours to 8.30am - 4.30pm and give him tea when I get home. I'm wondering if he's not eating enough at creche.
I know a few on here say eating doesn't affect sleep in their babies but K ALWAYS has a terrible night if hes not ate enough during the day.
He has a big tea at 5ish then 7oz at half 6 then to bed and thats him til 4-5am. If he hasn't ate much hes up at 2am for a bottle and is unsettled from midnight.
On the wedding debate, I did say last night I was !!!!ed off DD wasn't invited to my friends wedding and I stand by that. Its not like shes a baby that they hardly know, shes nearly 14 and my friend has known her since birth.
Of course its up to people to invite whoever they want. Its also my prerogative as a parent to be miffed when my child who was previously seen as extended family is excluded.0 -
CSH - I'm filling him up today! He's had a whole Weetabix and half a banana for brekkie, 1 250g jar of chicken noodles, an orange, a yogurt and is currently eating prawn crackers
I might ask the creche to blend his food a little cos he tends to eat more from a jar (a bit mushy) than he does if he has normal food. Going backwards a bit I suppose but I'd rather he ate more!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I've started giving a jar again too at tea time along with whatever we are having. Agree it feels like a step backwards but he has started sleeping better since. I think he just needs more calories and filling up more than what hes currently getting from finger foods. Hes getting bored of eating but still hungry
I'm also worried about about his size and weight as he seems quite small now. Hes just below the 25th and was previously above the 50th.
He goes off eating when he gets his teeth through which is a bit of a nightmare as well!0 -
J has pretty much stayed on the 25th centile but I've not had him weighed since beginning of May and that was only because we were in A&E and they did it. Think he was about 18lb 11oz IIRC
I don't feed him during the week unless he has some weetabix around 6pm - he has most of his meals at creche. Think I'll start giving him food when he gets in, I was doing it the first week but I thought that might have been keeping him up eating too much!
i need to put the Thorntons away - help!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Benjamin usually has a banana at around 6.20pm. He eats his dinner at 5pm with the CM so he needs a snack before bedtime.
Dinner is a new word atm - pronounced 'DEE-NAH'
We went for a walk to the local open farm this morning. It is a mile each way so a good stretch of the legs for us and DSS and Benjamin (who Stokke'd it up there) loved running around looking at the animals and the weather was glorious for us - it is piddling it down now.
I have cooked beef in the SC but have no potatoes or carrots so I need to brave the rain and have a run up to the shop.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Afternoon all..
Just paused for a sarnie and rather large energy-boosting slab of carrot cakeI can hear voices in the other room which would indicate Rhys is stealing OH's sandwich and egg custard again!
Am on a cleaning and tidying mission today. Not started on the packing at all, will blitz it later on (I hope!)
Hope everyone is having a nice dayxx
