    Jenittels,

Hadn't thought about it that way, must admit a fair amount of the wives didn't work, and those that did usually got jobs within the embassies, world bank etc. I had part of my honeymoon in Vegas, which was great (apart from the honeymoons disease!)
    £2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far

+ however may £2 coins I have saved in my Terramundi since 2000.

    Terramundi weighs 8lb 5oz

April this year. We had to look carefully at the dates if we flew out on the 5th it was about £300.00 cheaper per person than if we went a day later!

I think Virgin had block dates which are all at certain prices so be careful to shop around

    CC debt at 8/7/13 - £12,186.17
    Barclaycard £11,027.58
    Halifax £1,158.59

  • Hi we got married at niagera falls in 2002 we arranged it through virgin and got a wedding planner i think it cost about £400 for the flowers arranging paying the JP etc we had to get our marriage certificate 2-3 days before the wedding it cost about $25 we married on the US side as my OH was divorced it was all very straightforward and we didnt have to re-register the marriage over here. We payed to have our wedding photos done and even got the negative which was very unusual and money saving as it didnt cost anything to print off the pics once theyd been put on disc. There was only the 2 of us and i would highly recommend it we had two receptions on return. All in it was probably more expensive than if wed got married at home as it was pre lightbulb and at the time we went a bit mad on the old CCs. Congratulations and good luck with your planning remember to let them know at check in that your going to get married we blagged upgrades there and back saving quite a bit of money.

    Hi
we got married in Vagas 3 years ago, we got a helicoptor flight from Vagas out to the Grand Canyon, 45 min each way fantastic
Landed in the Canyon, not on the rim, just us, the minister, 2 friends & the pilot none else for miles
I cant remember if the coat was $1500 or £1500

Booked it on the web as easy as ordering from Amazon
Cant remember the name of the company we used, could dig it out if you want it

I now go to friends weddings & cant help thinking vintage Rolls, horse & carriage, should have got a helicopter much more fun

We were in Vages 4 days which was one day too many, great place but after 3 days we wanted to get back to reality
  • I'm getting married on 19th October (8 weeks!)
We have booked the bellagio, with an upgrade to get married on the terrace overlooking the fountains which are set off at the end to our song.
It's not cheap, but my dads paying....
wedding package - $1800 - includes photo's, dvd, my bouquet up to $190, grooms botunierre(?), not much else...
    Fountain upgrade - $1800
After that everything else is payable, additional boutoniere's $25 EACH, bridesmaids flowers start at £170 EACH, single flower arrangements - $350 EACH..... - even confetti (only bellagio allowed) $15 - you get my drift.
Flights were £401 from airline network - part of KLM..
We haven't booked the hotel yet - 8 weeks to go - i'm not really a panicky bride....haven't even looked for rings yet!

October is a great time to go to Vegas Tammy, I went there (not to get married) about 6 years ago at that time, it was the best holiday ever, I love it and would love to go back. The fountains are fantastic. 19th October is my birthday, have a wonderful time!
  • Just to update:

We've now booked flights and a hotel in November ready for the wedding. OH is going over to Vegas for short trip in september and will be armed with a short list of chapels to investigate. The little chapel of flowers is at the top of the list and i'm really hoping that we'll be able to have the ceremony outside (even in Nov!!).

We'll be staying at the luxor as they've got a special on around thanksgiving for $69/night for a standard pyramid room. It was really hard choosing a hotel and I've hope we've picked a decent, value for money one.

Will update again when we've booked the chapel!

PS flights were only £371 for that time in Nov with virgin.

PPS Tammy the bellagio sounds amaxing. Hope you have a really lovely time (let me know what the weather is like in october!!)

Just looking through these posts most of these weddings abroad cost less than a quarter of what friends and family of mine have spent to get married over here. Crikey no wonder everyone wants to get married abroad.

Congratulations and good luck with everything :)
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
