Cats using neighbours garden as loo HELP PLEASE

Hi Clancy, well will ask my neighbour about the lion poo first rather than waste my money incase she doesnt want pellets soaked in lion poo on the mud with a toddler about..
Erm, I'm not sure about giving your neighbours some lions poo. They don't appreciate your cats poo so I can't see them wanting any extra.
The best thing you can do is to ask your OH to dig a sand pit in your garden. Cats love to dig in sand as it's soft on their paws, it makes ideal cat litter, it's cheap and is easily raked out They only do it once a day usually, so I don't know what all the fuss is about.
KEEP SMILING.:smileyhea:smileyhea0 -
Yeah i did mention that i will talk to the neighbour before i purchase any as i think with toddlers about its not the best idea, also not sure if she'll want moth balls as the toddler may pick up and put in his mouth thinking there sweets, ive tried orange peel but didnt work.Hi Clancy,

I have a freshley dug area at the bottom of my garden for them to use but no matter how tempting they preper not to, i caught one last night weeing in there front garden and thats full of weeds & nettles so not very tempting, i thinks its mostly a territorial thing as they think its there garden and we have a huge amount of cats in the area and with my opposite neighbour leaving recently with her 3 and one of hers being the boss round here i think my boys are protecting both our houses with there scent, ive not seen any mess in the garden as i know they cover it so offering to go clean it up would be hard... Hopefully it will settle down soon & thanks to everyone who put a helpful reply

To this end, he put pointy wire stuff alongside the fence which divides our garden.
My son went round to tell him it wasn't on and we bought some rubberised pointy stuff and gave it to him along with the sonic cat scarer (which we originally bought to keep our cats OUT of our own front garden for their own safety and which didn't bother them at all!) and a large water pistol.
I don't think any of these things are going to work but neighbour claims to have some success in his back garden by placing mirrors in the area.
It isn't even a cat poo issue, he seems to take exception to one of our cats sitting on his car engine. The fact that the car is parked directly in the sun and is metal and cats like warm places to lie seems to have totally escaped him!
Another one.
You want to keep YOUR cats out of YOUR garden, but take offence because your neighbour wants to keep your cats out of HIS garden.
And I wouldn't want a cat sitting on my car bonnet either, so I'm not suprised he doesn't.
What is it with some cat owners who think it's OK for their cats to annoy other people and actually get offended by that????
Your cats, your responsibility, keep them away from other people, their gardens and their property!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

I have a sonic device to keep foxes out of my garden. The foxes seem to like the lower end of my garden. My neighbour used to have a lovely cat too (sadly no longer with us) who I was actually rather attached to.
The cat didn't like the sound. She would just figure out a path that meant she wouldn't trigger it off. So, the cat was able to wander around the top part of my garden (which I had no problem with) while foxes stayed out. The cat hated foxes and used to tear off after them, claws at the ready, so she was quite happy about it all anyway, as were my neighbours.
OP, your cats I'm sure will be clever enough to figure out a nice path home.

I have to say im really surprised by some of the replies on this thread...
why would such obvious animal haters be lurking around the pets forum other than looking for a row?
one of my neighbours stood on my doorstep and threatened to kill my kittens if they went in her garden, less than a year later one of my babies died in very suspcious circumstances and i will always suspect her but cant prove it....
i dont know what some of you expect us to do... ask the cats nicely not to go certain places??0 -
You can cat-proof you entire garden for £100 according to someone on Purrsinourhearts forums. Sorry but it is not your neighbours responsibility to contribute to a new fence IMO. As someone else said, consider switching to a high meat content food and you should see a significant reduction in the output!Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

I asked the neighbour about the fence before the cats became a problem, i dont need to keep throwing back her child's toys, so far balls and cars back into her garden... So do i tell her she should be more responsible for her child and put a fence up??? NO i think we should both pay half each, it would be different if i had a dangerous dog in my garden but i dont i have 2 cats who enjoy going out and am trying to find a helpful solution.Mum of 2 adorable children & 2 cheeky cats who were born on 23.04.2009 :rotfl:0
