Well if you book early and then watch the prices go up you should get that feeling and really enjoy the holiday!

Not saying that booking now for Christmas is early but hopefully it's soon enough.

Yes, I can see the benefit of booking a year in advance. I'm tempted to book up now for next Christmas as well.

I booked a new year break nearly a month ago and have now seen the price go DOWN £100....so I suppose it can work both ways... not the way i wanted personally this time obviously!

Is there no recession as far as Center Parcs are concerned. They must be affected surely. If they have lowered the price by £100 since you booked your holiday then maybe they are so the gamble could be on for holding out...decisions, decisions!!

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
We went for a 2 day break after Boxing Day last year @ Elveden and loved it :) So much so we booked for Christmas this year @ Longleat when we got home. The accommodation we wanted sold out in Feb, I know this because we wanted another for friends in March. The accommodation has never come back up so maybe they did sell out in Feb. So I don't know if we got the cheapest BUT I do know we got what we wanted and that's great!
We have already booked our activities and Tree - can't wait :D
Mind you we're off to the Lakes in half term (3 weeks) and that one we did get at a bargain price when we had vouchers last year :D

I booked Longleat CP in May for us to go end of November for the christmas stuff as they have fireworks then & got a 2 bed Woodland lodge for £229 for 4 nights so definetely think its worth booking early as I havent seen it cheaper since!! :j

Each time I have booked the price has gone up or what we booked has sold out. That's the first time I have heard of same thing going down - sorry that you lost out. I am going to try and always use the "come back soon" which guarantees that if you see the price go down they'll refund you the difference. I've just booked for Easter using that and will be monitoring the price but as I said alreday when I did that the last twice it went up or sold out.

After booking 2 weeks ago for £399 I have now seen the price falling to £319 and I'm gutted. Has anyone else had this? They say book early to get the best price and then this happens!

Well...Yesterday I was shocked to see that the price of my (Equivalent ) break had dropped over £200... So much for their 'fair pricing' policy...so, I phoned them up to register my disproval...got an upgrade plus some money back...so worth a try if the 'equivalent' accomodation' or above is available now at a cheaper price. I would advise to phone them and try...nothing to lose..Good Luck
