Yup, booked with Center parcs the other week. Had to pay £299, no budging, no codes.

I find it a bit harsh considering I am eligible for one of the codes ( Police, which most of you well know was PPPF ). I pay police sports and social membership for this reason, and now they have stopped accepting the codes.

Too many people were violating them, and were being used by people who were NOT ENTITLED to them so Center Parcs have pulled it, even for the people who are entitled to them.

Is there any chance you could post the 'returning code' that you were given after your stay there last week or is it only one code per booking which is unique to yourself?
  • Hi Guys,

has anyone got a current discount code for Centerparcs ???

    THANKS

I think if you read the thread you have just posted on you will see for yourself that centre parcs no longer do discount codes.

The only thing there is is a returning code (come back soon) but this is not a discount code. It gives returning customers (who book within a month of returning home) a price guarantee, £25 voucher to spend in the parc and free insurance. You can't use someone elses come back soon code as they need your previous booking ref etc.

    Hi all.

P.S Which type of accommodation is better, the Woodland Lodges or the New Style Exec Lodges/Apartments?

We've only ever stayed in the 2 story Execs (not the new style)

Speaking for Sherwood we always stayed at the 2 bedroom 2 storey exec villas (near aqua sana) and a while ago tried the new style 2 bedroom exec (out near the country club). The new ones have less space (if that is possible?!) especially v small bedrooms but the improved bathrooms with lovely showers, new clean modern decor etc and the more modern feel meant that we preferred it and now return to the new ones. My biggest bug bear is that I can't fit the cot in the 2nd bedroom without having to turn one of the beds on its side and lean it against the wall - not very safe with little ones toddling about!

Never stayed at a Woodland lodge as we only do exec. We went on our first visit to a "comfort" lodge and it was the most horrible acomodation I have ever stayed in (especially for the money!). We loved the rest of Centre Parcs though so now go but only to exec which to me is a basic standard of accomodation. Anything less and I'd rather stay at home in my clean, comfortable house!

The code is well know it's CBSOON but you need you're recent holiday reference for it to validate, so it's unique I'm afraid.

ok this may not be the best place to post this however...I am going to Longleat CP in April. I have never been before but the people who I know who have been there all say its great but can be a bit of a rip off. I had hoped to use my Tesco club points to eat out but see that the CP restaurants do not accept them. Can anyone who has visited CP before on a budget know of any hints or tips to save money?

In my opinion there's nowhere particularly cheap on the site but we usually go to Hucks on at least one evening. CP don't really have to try too hard because there's always plenty of people willing to pay the prices. I used to use Cafe Rouge when they took the vouchers but I wouldn't pay full price there.

Take a slow cooker and put something in it in the morning so that it's ready when you get back in the evening (I don't do anything too complicated... chilli, bolognaise, curry, etc). Maybe do pancakes, beans/egg on toast or a cooked breakfast so that you can just have a snack at lunchtime

They have a well stocked supermarket and whilst the prices are slightly inflated it saves a lot of hassle especially since they will deliver if your shopping comes to a certain value (around £30-40).

Make sure you do the free things first!! If you have children there are quite a few indoor & outdoor play areas and you can easily spend a couple of hours+ in the pool. If there is anything you really want to do then make sure you book before you go as everything gets booked up really quickly. Also you can sometimes get discounts online for less popular activity times.

On a different subject, if you are planning to hire bikes it may be worth considering the flying start package as this will allow you access to your accommodation at 2pm, hire of 2 bikes for the duration of your stay and a load of food/drink (milk, tea, coffee, bread, toilet rolls, etc). Although it's not cheap it makes a huge difference as if you arrive at the standard arrival time you could be in a queue for an hour or more! http://www.centerparcs.co.uk/accommodation/extras.jsp

Hi, I've just found out that you can't buy day passes for Center Parcs through the Tourist Board anymore so it looks like I will have to book a weekend there

Is there anyone out there who have been in the past 28 days who doesn't plan to use their CBSOON promotion.

If so, please would you be kind enough to PM your reference number and surname so that I can at least get a little bit more value out of the trip (I'm not even sure if this will work with a different surname but it is worth a try!)
