Currently been running this since 10am, it is still running cured 4511 "atapi.sys - backdoor Tdss.565" and counting, just got home to see it still counting and curing away. it seems its got no further forward. is this gonna be running all night (still not got to running a full scan)

Kaspersky is STILL going on just the critical files scan..............sigh

Use safe mode with networking, if it's swapping or has some software causing the slowdown, everything will take an age

OK i rebooted in safe mode and left it running ALL NIGHT, it found nothing, whilst in safe mode I did a malware and a hijack this, both of which found 0.

However auto update still fails and will update later if the firefox issue repeats
