Welcome trudi, lol @ the Flakes! Hope you win a lipstick soon xoxo
I'm going to do a list of members tomorrow on the first post - can anyone else who wants to join in write their name in big red type so that I don't miss you?
I sat down earlier with a jar of Nutella and a teaspoon, took a couple of half-spoonfuls... then realised that I didn't really want it after all and put it away! I'm also reading a few motivational/diet books atm, so picked one up to (1) distract me and (2) make me think about all the positive things I could be doing to lose weight. I think I'm ready for this challenge, maybe even (gulp) chucking the chocolate in the bin!! :eek:Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

:rotfl: I thought of this thread in the theatre tonight and passed on the chocolate ice cream in the interval - all the flavours in fact. The SO had the double chocolate one and although I was offered a spoonful I (very bravely I thought!) said no.

Well done Amanita!!!!!!!!!
I have already succumbed to a chocolate biscuit this morning (damn) but will leave it at that. No more chocolate today!!! I feel annoyed that I gave in, but also happy that I didn't go even further.
Good luck everyone xoxoxoGet to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Go you two! :T Yesterday I had a chocolate mousse and a hot chocolate but today is definitely a chocolate free day!I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around0 -
Good for you both!!! :T We can do it, let's just take it a day at a time.
I have been reading a book which recommends allowing yourself one a day a week when you can eat whatever you want... the theory is that the thought of that day keeps you motivated the rest of the week, but by the time it comes around you don't actually want to eat crap as you've done so well all week! Worth bearing in mind maybe... but for now we are officially cold turkey woo!!!Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

I do something similar. I am pretty strict during the week ( lost 2.5lbs this week so far) but eat more or less what I like within reason at the weekends.
A new eating regime has to be sustainable long term if the weight is going to stay off and I'm just not prepared to deny myself crisps, cakes toast and lashings of butter etc entirely but I do need to control the intake!
I've been able to maintain my target weight like this for a couple of years - the trouble is recently the weekend has been starting on Thursdays.....0
