I feel like you are all my twin sisters!
Whilst I agree that if it's in the house I will eat it, I also think that once it's 'banned', it makes you want it even more. It's so complicated!!0 -
What a great thread! I am a total chocaholic, and it seems to change my personality - whereas I would normally happily share things with my family, if it's a huge bar of choc I either eat it really quickly so that I don't have to give any away or sneak into another room where no-one else knows about it. If anyone else in my family did that with anything, I would be furious (and concerned about their mental health!), but with chocolate I see it as my god-given right to have it all to myself.
I agree with others - the only answer is not to have it in the house. I go throught the lot in a couple of hours, no matter how many are in the multipack!

Hi and welcome buyitall, it's amazing how many of us are from the half-stone and no more toiletries threads!!! :rotfl: Good to have you on board xo
Lol, although I haven't joined the no more toiletries thread, it has actually motivated me to sort out my stash, I was shocked at the amount of hair conditioner and face cream I have, and am only buying what I need when I need it from now on (in theory!).
I guess there are worse things to be addicted to, other than chocolate, toiletries, special offers, wine.....0 -
Thanks tara, add me to your pending list of going cold turkey please. I am on Weight Watchers and have one more stone to loose! I really want to loose it and cutting out all choc will help! Good luck all!
With the help of the great mse clan I am sure we can do it! I know they sorted me out with my spending so I am confident the same with this too!0 -
I am worried about banning chocolate! In the past, when I tried to give it up, I made up all kind of excuses (eg Caramac has no cocoa solids in it, so I would travel for miles finding shops which sold Caramac!), and trying to give things up completely tends to just set me up for failure so that I feel even worse than when I started! Can I think about it???
How pathetic do I sound?!0 -

Not pathetic at all, it's an addiction after all!
Not eaten any chocolate todayThen again I've also been too lazy to leave the house :rotfl:. I'm also the same as a couple of you - won't go out to buy it! Now just have to avoid OHs Easter Egg and Christmas chocolate stash (he's odd, I know!)
