Ok here's a little breakfast secret which I'm going to clue you all in on.
First get some porridge oats (I enjoy tesco organic, £1 for 1kg) and measure out 1/2 cup and cover with water and leave to soak overnight.
when the morning comes...
add a handful of dried fruit (i like currants, or sultanas) or flaked/chopped nuts if you like
add a tablespoon of flax (linseed) preferrably ground up (I use a kenwood coffee mill to grind mine up, takes about 3 seconds)
then add two tablespoons of yoghurt (I'm digging Yeo Valley Plum yoghurt at the moment) and stir it in.
Chomp it down. It's wholesome, and it hasn't got any nonsense in it.
Seriously, if you don't like this you can go back to your dry toast or rubbish corn flakes, and if you do like it, give it a week before the flax seed (which is practically pure fibre) scrubs your insides and leaves you feeling bloody fantastic.
That should keep you going till midday at least!

It's still nice though when it's someone's birthday in work and they bring in doughnuts.0

I always love it when it's someone's birthday!!

On normal days my food isn't so exciting........
If there is ham/chicken etc in the fridge then I have 2 rolls with that & lettuce from the garden. If no fillings available then it's just jam rolls (only allowable if OH is away as he needs "proper" sandwich fillings!).
Also take some fruit with me & a 1/2 litre bottle of smoothie (made in the morning before I go to work) and I tend to have raisins or nuts to stop the 11 o'clock tummy rumbling (can get quite embarrasing if I'm in a meeting!!)
This week I've been making iced coffee aswell which I drink on the long journey to work which means I feel quite perky when I arrive! Not sure all this coffee is doing me any good though!Feb 14 GC - £89.37/£3000 -
I usually have a banana mid morning, a sarni, usually cheese spread or when short of cash lemon curd, crisps, yogurt, and then some chocolate (small treat size bar) & fruit for mid afternoon. I usually eat about half hour before i set off home, otherwise i am so hungry by the time i get home that i pick up a takeaway, this way i last longer. if i've been organised i take left overs into work, which cuts down on the 'crap' element in my diet.
