Take 2 or 3 extra bits of fruit with you so that you have something to snack on. drink plenty of water during the day so that it fills you up more (and its good for you) and don't take any cash to work!!0

This reminds me of a bloke I used to work with - last night's left overs. He even had a tub of Bisto in the kitchen cupboard!!
Homepride do lovely pasta bakes, take a bit each day. To be fair, I get bored by day 3!!
I try to take butties as often as poss, but sometimes I like a treat. There's a man in the town centre who jacket spuds with cheese & beans for £2. Now that's a bargain. They'll only give you half the cheese if you ask as well! There - save money and unnecessary calories!Getting older is inevitable, growing up is optional :rotfl:0 -
I either take a sandwich (something with salad), leftovers from the night before - have recently discovered cold pasta bake leftovers are scrummy for lunch , or salad and quiche.
I always keep cup a soups, cereal, milk, crackers and cheese triangles at work so I can have a snack or breakfast there if I have an early (or late! start). We're quite lucky as we have a fridge, microwave and toaster so have also had beans on toast before now.
Mr LMLOD always has 4 sandwiches with cheese & ham, egg mayo, corned beef, cheese, ham or turkey (I force a bit of salad on sometimes ), crisps, mini choc bar and generally a sausage roll/scotch egg, if I've got them on BOGOF/reduced :money:
I always make our lunches as I totally begrudge us spending £15 each on 'bought' sandwiches. We do have a weakness for Tesco Cheese & Onion Sandwiches though so occassionally have one, but they're only £1.00 each (and about 800 calories!!! )Its nice to be important but more important to be nice!0 -
My weekend job, Saturday I generally end up skipping lunch or having it at weird hours which isn't good and Sunday I have a sandwich or last night's tea, crisps, three pieces of G&B, cake and milkshake.
At my week job, I buy lunch
and take drinks and crisps No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
I freeze leftovers from dinners and then pull them out at random so I’m not eating it the day after having it for my tea.
Soup (homemade) and roll
Pita bread with salad & something (cheese, ham, tune mayonnaise etc)
pasta, mayonnaise and tuna

I like to take a potato and cook it in the microwave (3-6 mins depending on size) then I add the whole thing to a bowl chop it and mash it up, add half a can of tesco value tuna and a squeeze of tomato ketchup. Then mash some more. Then eat! Its like a fishermans pie(ish!) and its quite low fat and the potato keeps u going till tea.Just trying to be me.....0

I ma a complete heathen in respect that I really like Lidl's own pot noodles! es, I know they got all kinds of rubbish in them but they're cheap, require no before hand making and fill me up all day! Makes me feel like I've had a "hot meal" too!!:T0

I take a wholemeal bread/rolls/pitta with filling can be tuna/salad/left over meat/egg or a salad with two pieces of bread with tuna/left over chicken etc chopped in to.
And a yoghurt and this week have been taking three pieces of fruit which is apple and two bananas. I drink lots of water/squash.
I also take a bagel first in the morning as my breakfast as I can't really eat after I get up.
Best thing is where I work I have walk 10 mins ton get to the local overpriced petrol station. We do have sandwich person but I never take any money which is great means I can't buy anything.

I can't cook or heat up food at work, but there's a fridge. So what I do is keep some soup-in-a-cup in my desk and bring some more stuff in a tupperware container. Sometimes I buy a bacon roll or eat at the only restaurant around, for a change, but usually I take a banana for mid-morning and for lunch I have some cous-cous, or scrambled egg with salmon and melon, or rice, or spanish omelette, or whatever holds well in the container and is still good cold. Today I just brought a can of herrings and another of mushrooms and mixed them together. I have a bowl of home made muisli for breakfast which tends to fill me up till about 11 - 11.30am.
I then graze from then on with 2 granary or wholemeal rolls with vegan soft cheese and salad or peanut butter....a cereal bar such as Fairtrade Geobar or a Quaker oat bar....a banana....maybe some 'lite' crisps from time to time.....and an apple later.
I drink a lot of water or herbal tea throughout the day too with the odd cup of naughty black tea & milk.
I think if you need a sugar rush, try flapjack instead of a chocolate bar. At least the oats give you some proper nutrition!
Twiglets are a good substitute for crisps as well - but they are quite salty so you should be careful if watching salt intake (as we all should I guess!).
Yoghurts are also good for buying ahead and storing in the work fridge if you have one or Muller Rice.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
