New iPhone - Microsim Slot
Hi all,
I've seen the gizmodo site (gizmodo.com/5520164/this-is-apples-next-iphone) quoting the next iPhone will have a Microsim slot.
I was just wondering how would I be able to get my sim into it when it comes out? Because I always tend to buy the iPhone on pay as you go and put my contract sim as I will not go on the rip off contract tariffs that the networks offer.
Would I be able to use the pay as you go sim card which will be a microsim and transfer my number across to it (maybe say I lost my old one but I have a new sim number)
I'm sure most people will want to know this aswell. Your help is appreciated!

You believe because you want to believe, until the device is out, then you will not know whether it has a microsim slot or not, in the meantime it does not really matter as the handset is not launched and hence what you are posting is based on a rumour0

It's all rumour and what you saw on that website like myself was a 'lost' prototype ... perhaps....
Until it's launched, not really worth getting worked up about. :-)If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)0 -

A more powerful camera, more sensitive touch screen and multi-tasking with the OS update. Basically everything it needs to once again solidify itself as the king of smartphones.0 -
There are guides on cutting down your existing simcard to fit into a microsim slot (i.e the ipad etc)
Risky... But google it...0 -

:rotfl:, I think it is more to reach the level of other smartphones and even none smartphones
Or is somebody admitting shortcomings on the iphone?:o0 -
Lets not turn this into an iPhone bashing thread, the iPhone is awesome, end of.0

Multitasking :rotfl:More like a hack of their own OS. I would place a Blackberry as more of a smartphone, the iPhone is simply an ipod touch with a phone dialer on it.0 -
remember the iphone still cant do bluetooth file transfer yet my old nokia from 3 years ago could....
Thats because they want the money and so will never allow people to do so.
My SE had a front facing camera and an 8MP camera. Trouble is if there is a new one, Apple will charge through the roof, all those people that took out an iphone 3gs last year will be rushing around trying to sell them, like they did with the iPhone 3g to get the 3gs and we will see threads such as ' can i get out of my contract' again.0
