  • Still no takers on actually paying money to the credit card and laon companies then, apart from ILW.

PC, perhaps(and I can't believe I'm saying this) you could like Premier and, rather than giving some form of hindsight advice, give some advice to the OP on what to do NOW and not after the fact. You can be helpful or you can continue on this vein, your choice

You really must stop coming up with these wacky ideas ;)

perhaps the same advice to you. Don't tell the OP what they COULD have done, SHOULD have done, but advise on what the CAN do NOW. If not then don't waste your time with this post decision nonsense. The OP did give money to the company, the OP wants that money back and so advise him how to do it or give your advice when someone is CONSIDERING do this in the future and not after the fact.

It may just act as a warning to others who think they can get out of their debts by chucking a pile of money at a claims company, rather than just sending the cash to their creditors.
The OP took a punt and lost and it looks like will have to bear the consquences of his own actions. Sorry I forgot, nobody does that anymore, everything is someone elses fault.
  • 100% agree with ILW. As for the OP i can only really offer hindsight advice. I would guess it is unlikely he will get his money back from the claim company and also of course will still owe money on his debts. Perhaps CCCS or Citizens Advice could help him with some sort of debt plan. Maybe a relative could help him out with some money?

I always find it interesting how people on the internet resort to putting the words in capital letters thinking it grants the substance of their post more legitimacy or credance.
You seem to have a notion that writing in capitals makes your point of view definitive. :rotfl:

EDIT : Just for Reference, I haven't advised the OP what he could/should/can/can't or consider. I responded to anothers post. I'd suggest you actually spent more time responding to the OP directly rather than telling other people what to do.

are you saying that caps dont add substance?

!!!!!!, I typed that in caps but it seems to have converted it back

Why the OP chucked money at the company is for him to answer but Premier and Milly were given advice after the fact. If he had come on here and said a company had told him that he could wipe out his debts if he paid thousands of pounds to them then we would all have said don't do it. (is bold for emphasis cos I use CAPITALS last time)

I was using capitals for emphasis by mistake but the point was that Coulda/Woulda/ Shoulda after the fact is irrelevant to the help milly and Premier were giving to the OP.

Apologies for the CAPS but forgot that emphasis should be in bold, If the OP gets their money back then obviously they can take your advice but let's get the OP their money back cos we all hate those types of companies. Furthermore, he did give money prior to the test cases on CCA agreements, and furthermore, if he had come onto here then the advice would have been to reclaim any charges :D, to check on enforceability(which Never in Doubt is expert at on the Debt Free Wannabe board....I certainly am not) and then we would live in fluffy wonderfulness.

You can always state an opinion on here PC, but he wasn't wanting an opinion on giving the company the large amount of money over his creditors but how to get it back which Milly and Premier were advising on up to your post. That is the point I was making, the he might have done many things but he factually didn't do those things. It was prior to the test cases as the payment was November 27th, 2009.
I am sure if he had been here prior to giving the money to them, the advice would have been to steer clear.
