  • Shouldn't you be making your brother pay for it anyway?
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

I get the impression the OP isn't sure about this. When I asked the OP for clarification about this 6 years they mentioned originally, they just responded about the limitations act.

yeah thats right coz i was told that there is a limitation of 6 years that the debt can be reclaimed.

When did you default on your debt?

let me clarify, i bought it for my brother but its in my name, so yes its my debt, is what you say about Roxburghe a well documented thing or just a personal opinion?
    It's from experience.
They had my sister for the same thing about 6 years ago.
Tried the 'not Statute Barred' tactics. Even asked her to make a token payment of £10 over the phone so the debt would go live again.

I got wind of it, called them and told them to poke it.

They are liars, but they do go away easier than most DCA's from what i can gather

Hi OP, if you have a look at my thread
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2020573

you'll see Graham White is not actually a proper firm of solicitors at all! They sit in the same offices as Roxburghe and are a joke - I had been sorting out mobile debt for my sister and there's some guidance on there as to what to send them - DON'T waste your time speaking to them by phone. We haven't heard a peep from them since we sent the 'prove it' letters.... good luck! :o
