Yes plese give Amazon his details and explain , as i just found this thread thanks to tallgirl as i got some Amazon vouchers myself and it all seems suspect at how the seller is acting and now only demanding a bank transfer...i will be contacting Amazon myself to air my concerns about this ebay seller.

Becuase i just checked his address before i was going to send payment as it seems like its fake.

I would be inclined to talk to Amazon to discuss this problem. The key is Ebay scammers are able to use false credit card details, and the gift card numbers work until the card is refused and Amazon stop the gift card. It should be the other way around (gift code does not work until funds have cleared) or scammers will keep abusing this loophole.

And £900 is even more - I think that was the original poster's point ;)

Unfortunately a scammer got what he wanted, someone to buy a useless gift voucher code. All that can be done is to attempt to recover the funds and also get the police involved - and possibly to warn off other people from buying such gift codes and also possibly start vigilante action on Ebay to buy off the codes with throwaway accounts to help prevent people being scammed.
