Recovering spendaholic. I have ridiculous food issues too so I can empathise a little. It may be worth making a phone call to a SW rep (you joined online right? is there someone you can talk to about it?) but you could also try to not worry about it.
Maybe try:
Follow the plan exactly. Eat as much free food as you want without guilt and with enjoyment and don't worry about how much you're eating. Also try reading Paul McKenna's 'I can make you thin' book. You don't have to follow it exactly but the main point of his book is learning to eat until you're full. Which is terribly hard when you have a lifetime of bad habits and complex food issues. Maybe if you're more tuned into your body, less guilty about eating and following SW you'll eventually need less food anyway!
This is my own plan anyway. My appetite has changed since last year although it's by no means 'normal' yet! My mum is going through something similar and has lost 4 stone since her appetite has reduced!
Bluefire - worst cake making experience I've ever read.
Hope the cake itself comforted you somewhat! 0 -
Urgh, rubbish day today! I decided to make the much talked about chocolate cake, and halfway through after whipping the egg white & yolk realised I'd got nowhere near enough sweetner. Nipped to the local shop & decided it was far too expensive (more than double the price of Morrisons) so drove there instead... and caught the corner of a car when leaving the car park  The owner has just rung me, luckily he's been nice enough to shop around to have it fixed & it's only going to cost me £60... but it's turned out to be rather an expensive chocolate cake!
The good news is that at least is that the cake turned out lovely, and is rather moreish indeed! I used 3/4 of a cup of sweetner rather than half as I'd read it could be quite bitter - does anyone have any idea how/if that affects the syns?
Just to make all your mouths water...

Cake looks properly amazing! I don't know if I should make it though because I will probably eat it all:o Wonder if it freezes? If so then I could cut it up and freeze it in 4 bits...
Sympathy on the car bump - that sort of thing has happened to me a few times.
I looked around the Body Optimise site and can't find anyone to ring, but I think I am going to just do the best I can and as long as I am sure that it is free food I am eating (and no "hidden" syns) then I'm not going to worry too much (of course when I weigh in next Monday if I have put on half a stone then I'll have to have a re-think!).Jane

recovering_spendaholic wrote: »Hi everyone - well I got through yesterday Ok:
Breakfast - 42g all bran (heb) with banana and ss milk (hea) and 28g sultanas (4 syns)
Lunch - cold boiled pasta, peppers, onions, cucumber, tomatoes, carrots, tuna in brine and dressing made with extra light salad cream and hellmanns extra light mayo (3syns)
Dinner - hm chilli made with extra lean mince, tomatoes, onions, peppers, tomato puree (0.5 syns) and baked beans, 100g rooster oven chips (2 syns)
I was wondering how big my portions should be. I can eat ALOT of food (which may have something to do with my size;)) and feel that I ate alot of food yesterday. For instance the chilli was made with 700g mince and one and a half large tins of beans. I had a portion last night, have just had another one for my lunch today and there is about portions left in the fridge. The pasta salad was one tin of tuna, half a pepper, half an onion and a out 4oz of (dry weight) pasta. I am a bit scared that eating those quantities will mean that I won't lose weight - I know they used to say you could eat as much as you want on SW but the last time I went to class the consultant said that you had to make sure that you didn't overdo it with free food and this has worried me. You may be able to tell that I have some "issues" with food:o
From what you have written here I don't think thats too much food (or maybe I'm a glutton too!!
) and there is plenty veg in there!
I would say that I have started loosing better since I started eating plenty superfree food. I try and have at least 1/3 plate veg with every meal. I also try and eat quite a lot of super speed and speed foods - they are marked in the books with s or ss. Basically its things like beans and peas that really fill you up without having many calories.
Edit : and drink plenty water!0 -
Afternoon peeps:D I'm having an EE day today as OH is making us curry for dinner so todays menu is:
B: 1 x weetabix (1/2 HEB), Sk. Milk (1/2 HEA), chopped banana, cinammon
L: Homemade vegetable soup, bowl of strawberries and grapes
Prawns, peppers, onion, mushrooms, peas with savoury rice and curry sauce (2.5 syns)
Snacks have been grapes and an alpen light bar (1/2 HEB). I have set aside 2 syns for a highlights hot choc (using other 1/2 HEA) and 5.5 syns for a Fibre Plus bar tonight. Plus lots of water and green tea as always:):starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -
Afternoon all
Could someone please check the syn value of Grassington's red onion and double cheese sausages? I'm at my mum's for BBQ/tea and she has run of of quorn sausages and only has these to offer me. Otherwise I'm just having a wholemeal bread roll!!
TIA

recovering spendaholic - I would agree with what everyone else said. You sound like you are doing exactly what I am doing. Only difference being I am using Quorn instead of meat mince but I'm eating the chilli just like you are and honestly, it's coming off. I would never have believed I could eat so much and definitely have loads of the superfree foods too

Stayed the same this week (*week) but consultant said if I have really been as good as I say I have this week (which I have) then I will see it on the scales next week
Going to make that cake tonight to try and control the munchies. The kids lunchbox bits are starting to look mighty tempting :P:staradminHuuuuuuge thank you hugs to all posters:staradmin0 -

Hi lynzpower and welcome!! We would love you to join us!!

Recovering Spendaholic - when i first started my plate was piled high!! (I would eat a whole roast chicken on a red day...) but as the weeks have gone on (12 weeks now) my portions have (gradually) reduced because i find i was becoming fuller quicker. Having said that i still dont eat small portions - my whole plate is full!
Today's food - EE
B - 28g fruit and fibre (heb) with milk (hea) Cup of tea
S - Shape 0% yog
L - Cheese and broccoli pasta n sauce (0.5) with a nice big bowl of grapes and banana
S - Mini milk ice lolly (1.5)
D - Lamb Kofta Curry (from SW mag) I adapted the spices by using those from the SW Tikka Masala recipe on the website. I'd made my Kofta's weeks ago and froze them. Was absolutely delicious. Had a v small onion bhagi (3.5) and 4 1/2 plain sharwoods poppadoms (my weakness) (9 syns) Got some mango for later to make up for the lack of superfree food
14.5 syns today
All hail to the sale!!!!!!
new beginnings...... new successes..0
