Ahhh, gutted! My third WI was today and I've managed to put a pound ON!!! I don't get it, I really don't get it. I had a bad weekend because of working away but loads of exercise to balance it off and the rest of the time I'd been super good as I was worried that the week before I'd only lost a pound as I was eating too much free food.
I'm going to keep a proper food diary this week to then run through with the Consultant next week.
It's so disheartening though, I though I'd lost so to put on was horrid
Right, so pulling myself together....I've had a gin and tonic tonight and now I will go back to the plan and see what I'm doing wrong.
I wonder if I didn't eat enough? There were a number of times over the week (even over the bad weekend) where I felt really hungry and I wonder if that is part of the problem?
Any help gratefully received!Piglet

Karen, I'm so sorry about your Dad. I really hope he can fight it as long as possible. I lost my precious Dad to much the same thing almost 3 years ago - it never goes away
So sorry to hear that consultant (hugs). I lost my big sister to cancer 2.5 years ago and you're so right it doesn't go awayMy initial reaction was that I can't go through that again! But you just have to and I know I have to stay strong for my Daddy and afterall HE'S the one that really has to go 'through it'. They should be starting his chemo within the next couple of days, so keeping everything crossed that it does it's job well.
Thanks to everyone for your kind words - it means a lot xxSome people see the glass half full, others see the glass half empty - the enlightened are simply grateful to have a glass0 -
Good evening all
OMG I go back to work for two days and you all sneak off and hide:rotfl:
Love the new thread though.
Well I finally returned to work this week:eek: not as bad as i thought. I went SW prepared with loads of fruit and my sandwich ect the only big thing that was a prob was the lack of drinking. I didn't realise how many cups of tea or drinks I had when sat at home yesterday managed one paper cup of water and paid for it with a terrible migrain when i got in.
Today took a huge bottle of water and have managed to sip just over half. Boss wasn't amused to see my bottle out all the time but I told her i needed it because of my meds so she shut up:T:T As for coping managed well but forgot how much walking i did in work my feet are pounding.
I also joined a group of local mums and we were meant to go jogging none of us are fitwell we did maybe in total 5 mins of jogging and 1 hour 40 walking around the lake talking but it was out and mobile. We are meeting again tomorrow after WI. I have been a saint this week:A so I hope it shows but mother nature:mad: paid a visit today so we'll have to see. At least I know that if i don't see the benefit this week I had better next week x x x x

It could well be. Not eating enough is definitely counter-productive and will stop you losing weight by slowing down your metabolism.
Last week I believe you said you were on your period? You can hold up to 4lbs of extra fluid during this time, so any gain will go away as soon as you're over it.
Make sure you eats lots of free foods every 3 or 4 hours and drink lots of water too. The weight will come off I promise.
We all worry, especially at the beginning, that we are the one person who will find that Food Optimising doesn't work for them, but we've all seen that it does if you follow it properly.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

All that exercise will do you the world of good, well doneYou don't need to jog (and it's hell on the joints), it's not how fast you complete a course, but how often you do it that counts.

Hello everyone,
A complete newbie here!! I decided to loose weight back in January and become fitter. To date I have lost 1stone 5lb by overhauling my diet and taking up exercise. But I am constantly hungry as I am getting obsessed with what I eat.
A friend has reccommended Slimming World so I have been reading up on it but I am confused about 1 aspect - which I think may be the main aspect!!
How do you know which are red or green days? It is baffling me, can any of you peeps help me?

Oh Bless!:D The day is red or green according to your mood! If you fancy loads of meat go for red, if you want carbs (rice, pasta) go for green. If you fancy both go for Extra Easy. It is your choice and you decide what sort of day you are going to have.
Marion:)When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
