I was not whinging - I just think your post is totally inappropriate for this thread. Its not about Flying is it? I found your post offensive and im usually quite laid back about these things. If you got a problem with the midwife take it up with her or take it to her supervisors.

I love pigpen's posts... they make me giggle:D Even if I don't agree with something I don't find it offensive. It's just the way she is!;) (I hope the antibodies behave)

Shockingly I love my midwife... some docs and the hospital on the other hand:mad:

I'm on sick leave from Flying I'm afraid:o Just going to keep up with the washing. I CAN'T WAIT to return to the lists when I'm well enough... is that worrying??:rotfl:I shall just dream about decluttering instead!!:)

Turning to midwives, I wonder if the antibodies you refer to, Piggers, are the ones that come about because some midwives don't think to check the possibility with their Rh negative ladies, even if the consultant has written it in 3 inch high letters on the notes? (Worked in Obs/Gynae for a long time and wonder how some of them were allowed within a country mile of the ward)

Lets just badmouth every midwife out there shall we ? You flyladies never seem to have a good word to say for them. What has any of this actually got to do with flying?
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I'm feeling shattered tonight - I'm very tempted to just go and crawl into bed. DH is just putting the clean bedding on at the moment

Can we not just point out the inadequacies of the useless ones?.. I had one want to abort my baby when there was absolutely nothing wrong with it.. she said the pregnancy wasn't viable.. he was only saved because it was New Year and they had skeleton staff. I had another say she wanted DD5 to die.. and I had one that never left my side throughout the last 6 gruelling hours of labour with DS3 (not in this health authority I will hastily add!) She also came to NICU to check up on DS3.. if I could book her.. I would! The one that delivered DD2 was nice too (also in another health authority).. DD2 was baby number 512 that she had delivered, :D. See I don't hate them all.. I just dislike people who do not know their job or do it properly.. including the binman that tipped half a bin of rubbish on the road and left it, the traffic warden who yelled at me for parking on the zigzags outside school.. I WALKED there.. and the woman who works in the shop round the corner who always tries to rip you off in your change.. but they are not responsible for someones life.

    Anyway..

WM on AGAIN.. where does it all come from?
    TD on

Off to unload and reload the DW.. and declutter children to bed!

I must bring the hoppeties back in too.. and I have 3 loads of washing to fold..

I am really sorry you feel like this Molly41 - but equally don't tar us all with the same brush! I know I get wound up when people start on HR because of one bad experience, and Triker does about social workers when people assume they are all the same . I can honestly say my midwife was outstandingly good, and very clever and supportive. She bent all the rules to get me the home birth I wanted for DS2, and she kept me out of hospital as long as she could for DS1. I even wrote to the local head MW to say how good she was, which is exceptional for me.

Time to get the iron out *yawn*

ETA - I just wanted to add (because I went away and thought about the posible intepretation of my post!) that I didn't read anyones post as an attack on ALL MWs. Every profession has its share of muppets, my own included. I am pretty confident at some point in time I have been seen as a muppet at work.
