I think its more the fact that he wrote that the 12 year old was herself old enough to be having sex...

And yes its perfectly natural for people to have sex, but I for one don't do it on the living room table in front of my parents, for example, nor in earshot of them or my children out of decency, and I am a 37 year old with a very active sex life. Its about respecting others and yes it may just be noise but it is noise which is upsetting OP's daughter and the daughter of the other woman.
I have realised I will never play the Dane! :(

Where are my medals? Everyone else on here has medals!! :p

Jamespir - can I ask what sort of person you are to believe a 12 year old should be having sex? Clearly you're just looking to wind people up anyway in order to get a reaction to fill some sad void in your life but if you truly believe that a 12 year old should be having sex then I worry for those around you.

I agree. Whilst we can't deny that 12 year olds ARE having sex, that doesn't mean it is right. I am studying to be an educational psychologist and there is no way a 12 year old girl is emotionally mature enough to be having sex and to understand the true nature of a healthy, loving, sexual relationship and if you are suggesting 12 year old girls are mature enough to become mothers without a hell of alot of parental support themselves then I'm afraid that shows a very strange way of thinking and, lets face it, you can't separate sex and the fact it can lead to offspring as no form of contraception is 100% effective. In my experience, 12 year olds who are having sex are looking for love they should be getting from their family or reacting to painful events at home.

If you are a father, as it has been suggested you are, then I hope to god you don't have daughters or, if you do, I hope your wife/partner is the one who teaches them about sex and relationships so they can develop more healthier ideas than you.

The noisy sex is inappropriate - why can't they wait until the girls are asleep or out? Most other parents manage it.

The Ann Summers issue depends on what actually happened. If it's sexy underwear in the laundry pile, your daughter has to understand that people have sex and there's nothing wrong with that. If they're leaving vibrators etc around, I would say that's a much more serious issue.

If they took the girls into Ann Summers with them I think that's completely inappropriate. Perhaps it's changed in recent years but the time I went in, it was full of adult things and none of it, except the underwear, was appropriate for children to see. If they left them outside, I'd find it annoying, but not terrible. What's wrong with shopping online or doing it when the kids aren't around?

As for getting bladdered with the kids there? I just can't see how that could possibly be acceptable. Please tell me they don't drive home.

If the kids are in danger, ie they're drink driving, I'd contact social services over it and stop her staying over. If they're not, a carefully worded letter or email should be the first step in my opinion.

I doubt they'd of seen anything beyond babydolls and bras in Ann Summers, I was having a browse one time when DD was asleep in her pram (4 months old) and I wasn't even allowed to push her into the *ruder* area. Can't co-ordinate her hands, but can be mentally scarred by a vibrator :rotfl:

Reminds me of the episode of Sex and the City where Samantha uses a vibrator to calm Brady down when his vibrating chair has broken :rotfl: I bet he wasn't mentally scarred!
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important

Exactally, the front halves are like a LaSenza, nothing overtly sexy for a 12 year old to look at, just frilly stuff! Even the back areas are very mild compared to what you may think is going to be in them!

It's a long time since I've been in one, but there weren't 2 seperate areas at the time. It was full of the obvious outfits, french maid, nurse, lingerie etc, vibrators etc, 'lotions', edible stuff etc, !!!!!! videos and magazines, fluffy handcuffs and all the general things you'd expect from an adult shop.

Nothing that isn't 'very mild' to an unflappable adult, but it's just a pulse and cocktails repackaged for women and suitable to plop in the middle of the high street.
