    Afternoon all

I have had a fabulous day in work :D got my young people back from work placements and it was lovely to see them. They all filled me in on their work placements and then we went raft building (which is done right outside my window ;)). The weather here has been fantastic, sunny and warm all day :D. They had so much fun out on the water. They did it in 2 groups as a race. One group, which was made up of the more intelligent ones of the group, had 3 attempts at their raft cos it kept sinking. The other group's raft ( the less intelligents ones - I hate saying that, and only saying it to emphasize, but there is a clear divide between them) was brilliant and they just paddled round the dock in the sun laughing at the others getting wet! It was so much fun.

My colleague was due back from hols yesterday but the ash means she gets an extra 3 nights in Spain! But it means she won't be in work til Tues and she was meant to cover me on Mon so I can go to my course so now I'll have to skip my course.

I popped to Asda on way home and bought waaaay to much non OS stuff, but hey it's the weekend! :rotfl:

    Have a good evening all

Hugs to the dogs, lilmisskitkat and everyone else, can't remember all the names /events. Just wanted to say that it's a gorgeous sunny day up here, and the volcanic ash has arrived. Disappointingly (I know, I'm mad, but I'd hoped it would be nice fertile ash), it's a very fine film of yellowish dust.

Littlemisskitkat Just popped back on and saw your post. I used to spend a lot of time worrying about what other people think but you know what its not worth it. These days I only have friends who love me unconditionally. My life's too short to spend time with people I really don't like. I know you can't choose your family but you can decide how much you see them. Make sure its on your terms and not theirs(((hugs))))))))

Busy afternoon in the beautiful sunshine. DH arrived home early so we have had a lovely time pottering around the garden centre.. The two eldest are out tonight so we may actually get a bit of time on our own:o Its much needed. Its like living in the middle of Piccadilly Station sometimes lol

Just bought some lovely square plates to serve starters on in Mr S's. reduced to £1.87 so fairly OS.

Lovely relaxing evening tonight, defnitely a BBC2 night with Gardeners World, QI and Frank Skinners new programme. Maybe a couple of glasses of Wine.

    Have a good evening

Littlemisskitkat Big hugs to you honey they are not true friends if this is how they treat you. Take care xxx

Sunnyday Awful news about your friend xxx

Jackie Glasgow I have just read your post out to DH & DS3 who aren't as excited as me about it :rotfl:

Hope that everyone who needed to fly gets back safely to their families over the weekend.

I'm freezing cold now so am going to get the washing off the line and then run a hot bath. An evening of jammies & the tv are sounding like a good plan! Have a good one all xxx

Hello, may I join you please? I have to confess that I have been following you for a week or so and thought it would be nice to have some new pals!

Have just had tea (veg curry) and feeling very pleased with myself as I stripped my and dd's bed, washed, dried and ironed everything and it is now back on the bed!

    Take care

    Hello and welcome camelot

Sunnygirl I don't know when it arrived as I was busy, but I washed OH's car yesterday, and when I finally got out front to plant some bulbs in my neighbours' garden this afternoon I noticed it looked dirty! When I wiped my finger on it, it went streaky and didn't wipe off cleanly, the way household dust would (not that I would know about that of course!). I have a washing out but it was darks, and OH's work stuff, so not too bothered!

Gosh I am bushed. I did the Friday clean whilst OH was out in the veg garden, we had coffee, lunch and afternoon tea in the garden.

I joined OH in the garden after lunch. Put his plant house together and changed round the cold frame so they are in a line, up against the shelter of the wall. Watered all the top bed, it was so dry, I will be glad to get the outside tap in next week, carting water from the house is no fun.

I set the herb wheel into the bed near the house and also put the container for the solar fountain in place. I dug up some bulbs, I am not sure what they are, think I might have to pot them up and see what they are when they come out. I also dug out more of the perennial geranium, its all over the place. I have potted some up for the plant sale but the rest is in the compost heap.

We have put a willow panel in the garden in front of our neighbours kitchen window, as it was she could look straight into our seating area from her window, so a clematis is being planted to scramble up and cover the panel, she will be able to look out onto the clematis.....The lilies are starting to put their noses up, so some fresh compost and a little growmore to give them a treat.

Just had our supper. HM fish and chips with peas from the freezer. A large glass of white wine went down very well, as did a dish of ice cream.

I think I will be having a shower before I go to bed, I am feeling very stiff just now, so a shower and a couple of paracetamol should sort that.
