Good moring guys,
I am savouring the first child/work free hours I have had in nearly 3 weeks and the silence is delicious. :T:T I love them to bits but it's great to get a few hours to myself every now and again.
We called at B + Q last night after work and got all the bedding plants for the borders, we also got some bark to top up the stuff already in and found that the red coloured stuff was cheaper than the bog standard and it will match up with the fences beautifully so I am pleased with that. My BIL is going to put up the brackets for the hanging baskets - hopefully over the weekend - and by Monday the gardens should be planted out and looking good. The rhubarb Eric planted at the end of the garden has survived the garden being turfed and is growing well but I am going to have to move it as I keep mowing over it and we are missing out on the crumbles.
The house is fairly tidy, 1 wash to do and then put out on the line, ironing to do, a swish and swipe followed by a hoover this evening and mince and mash for tea.
I hope everyone is having a good day and gentle hugs to all in need.

Well, DH is somewhere in Europe on a train heading for the channel tunnel- who knows when he will arrive!
NPM - have you tried any of the Astrosaurs, Dinosaur cove or Jack Stalwart books? DS loved them when he first moved away from picture books. Be prepared for dinosaurs to take over your life though!
We're off to play with friends in a minute, then to the library and I need to find something for dinner. There's no point in sticking to the meal plan and cooking for 4 when there's only 3 of us here.
Hugs to all that need them0 -

Morning All,
Another lazy morning as its another day off for me. Yesterday turned into a bit of a nightmare.
My DD streaked my hair with some lowlights which are too dark. My DH said very helfully I thought that my hair looked dirty:mad: So need to redo and put lots more blonde highlights in. But DD is not around until Saturday so I will have to wear a hat until then.
Then last night DD ex BF rang to say he had called an ambulance for DGS as he was worried about his breathing. We dashed her down to the hospital were luckily they said it was just viral. Apparently he was sick in the ambulance and brought up all the gunk and was much better by the time the arrived. Gave us all a real scare though:eek: He is back with us tomorrow so looking forward to that.
Really must get on this morning but can't seem to get going. I need to nip to the charity shop to find some plates to serve that starters for our dinner party tomorrow night and some little glasses to serve the chocolate mousse. Think I will make some butter biscuits to go with it.
Off to find a hat:rotfl: see you laterStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Ooh forgot to say. We had the strangest sunset in Manchester last night, like a pinky orange colour, like nothing I've ever seen before, very strange but very beautiful:D
According to the news it was because of the ash so I have seen the evidence!Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Redruby – hope little dog’s leg is better
Morning all! I’m very late today. Oops…
Very busy weekend for me I think. Need to sort out my craft room and pack up as much as I can. Every day seems to bring more forms (and requests for money) from the solicitor. Hopefully the weekend will remain form-free so I can actually get some housework done!
Puppy-Dog training on Saturday morning, Sainsbugs delivery Saturday afternoon, dinner with Dad and nearly Step-Mum Saturday evenings, and Puppy-Dog’s first adult obedience show on Sunday.
When did I say I was going to get that packing done?
Hugs to all,

Morning peeps
sunny but nippy outside here this morning. I`ve been out walking the hounds and they are both asleep now. Little oldie ran off and managed to get into the fenced off kiddies park after the guys who were cleaning up the litter. They always give him a couple of biscuits in the morning and when they went inside the gates one of them didn`t close fast enough. I`ve never seen him move so fast lol. Everyone was laughing at him - he knows where the biscuits are
I managed to find some half price trainers online a couple of days ago so i ordered them and they`ve just been delivered, really pleased as they are usually quite expensive but as they were a type that i`ve had before i knew that they would fit so i ordered them, normally i`m a bit hesitant about hings like that as i hate having to return things that don`t fit but really pleased with these.
W*rk this afternoon so i need to prep a few things and sort out the kitchen and then i can hop in the shower without fear of the postman knocking on the door.
Redruby - Hope that little doggies leg is ok, our big daft thing has phases of either twisting a paw or shoulder and spends a couple of days limping and then is back to normal so i hope that its something simple like this.
Hope that the ash makes a move soon and in the right direction, have a few workmates who are flying from Monday onwards so fingers crossed for those and anyone else waiting events.
Found out yesterday afternoon that a friend collapsed and died whilst he was at work the night before. He was such a wonderful gentleman and of no age at all.
He will be greatly missed by everyone. Will have to wait for the pm to find out what happened but it was instant so we are thinking something like a blood clot. He wasn`t ill at allMakes you think dosen`t it.
Right i need to make a move. Have a sunny afternoon peeps.

jc2703, thats me paranoid now (he says staring out the window)
A black bird has just flown past, but was it a crow or an ashed up gull??? And why is there only one black sheep in he field?? :eek:0 -
Good morning!
No ash sighted here & I didn't notice the Manchester sunset eitherWas too busy having an argument with DD all settled now though. It is a tad cloudy but I'm wondering if it was going to be cloudy anyway??? It's strange not seeing any planes in the sky though we must live near a flight path as I regularly see them when I'm in the garden. Thankfully they can't be heard :rotfl:
I didn't watch the election debate last night (see above with DD) but have listened to the news on Radio4 this morning and it would appear that the Lib Dem leader whose name escapes me at the mo did rather well and better than expected. I really don't know how to vote as it doesn't seem to matter who gets in really. I want things like the Surestart Centres to stay open, my blue recycling bin going back to fortnightly collections, dentists having room for patients again and pot holes in loads of roads repairingOur local MP has been taken to court over his expenses, as he overclaimed an already paid off mortgage, and has been granted Legal Aid
I'm in contact with Diva and she is still very weak & woozy so not up to posting. She is very thankful & grateful for all the messages of support & love for her too. You are all angels :A
Tea tonight was going to be spag bol but I've found out that only 3 out of 6 are going to be here so it'll be soup & cheese on toast instead. Lunch will be a sandwich I think and the last of the weetabix cake
Have a good day all & I'll catch up later on. Hugs to anyone who wants one xxx0 -
Sunnyday - that is awful news about your friend ((((((hugs))))))
red Ruby hope you manage to get to the vet with your little dog and that it is nothing too serious ((((((hugs)))))

Stop it stroppy :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:they say that ash fall is imminent anywhere and I have a full line of washing
Well PC didn't show  I hate waiting in and then get let down
So I am off to town on my speed demon (all of 4 mph top speed but it hates hills and it is very hilly here so if I am lucky I might get 2mph)
Will pop back later hope work is better today stroppy xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
