My son has severe learning disabilities and a number of physical complaints. The bedding at night is always on the floor.
He has side rails but that does not help.
Can anyone think of any way i can make something so the bedding will stay on ? a bedding pattern or ideas.

Is there anything on this thread - Making Sheets Stay in Place  I'll add this thread to that one later to keep ideas together.

can you do basic sewing? If so, make a strip of material long enough to go between mattress and base and come up either side. Stitch a row of velcro to each short end, and the opposite bit of the velcro to the edge of the quilt cover/sheet. When you want to change the bedding just 'undo' the velcro and leave the material under the mattress in place. You could make it as long as you wanted for comfort and ease of movement - two strips spaced out under the bed may be better.

Even less work - as he has side rails, could you make some button or velcro'd tags along the side of the sheet/cover - like the top of tab-top curtains? These could button/velcro around a bit of side rail.

I have to say this is much easier to visualise than to write out!
    good luck
