Making bedding stay put

I know this sounds like an expensive remedy, but may be worth considering next time you replace your mattress. With memory foam mattresses you tend to toss and turn less due to having nopressure points to make you uncomfortable. Therefore the sheets wouldn't move as much. This worked for me.0

You can buy the clips in packs of 8 from our local pound shop. I use them for the plastic tablecloth too, as it's really slippy.0

I like flat ones, but I prefer my lovely silk ones! I splashed out on a set of lush purple silk sheets / pillowcases etc, and they only came in "fitted"... so thanks very much for the elastic strap suggestion - this will be a massive helpMortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0

My son has severe learning disabilities and a number of physical complaints. The bedding at night is always on the floor.
He has side rails but that does not help.
Can anyone think of any way i can make something so the bedding will stay on ? a bedding pattern or ideas.
Thanks in advance.
Please move if i have put this in the wrong place.44lb off and 13 to go.:j0 -
I remember seeing something in a "Sunday supplement" catalogie that was marketed as being to keep bed covers on....it was basically lengths of elastic with clips on either end, which went under the matress and you clipped each end to the side of the quilt.
It was a silly price but you could easily make the same thing using elastic and the clips you buy to put on the ends of trouser braces0 -
GLTC sell something similar called a duvet gripper. I'm not sure how much they stretch though, so they might not be big enough for a full-sized bed.0

When my children were young and in a cot, I sewed some tape onto the corners of the duvet and tied them to the cot bars to stop them kicking the duvet off.
This allowed the duvet to move up and down but not come off the bed. I only used that when they were mobile enough not to get trapped underneath.
It was their old nanny that told me that she had used it for children for years.
Not sure how big the bars on the rail for your brother are, or whether it would be appropriate for his disabilities.0 -
