Thanks I am hart, will have a look again in a minute.

Tomorrow will be even busier than today, DD has a party after school at the shopping center , I also have to go there for lunch with the girls in the day, which I don't really have time for but don't want to back out of it AGAIN.

I had an odd day today, my ex next door neighbour knocked on the door to say she is moving back to the area, and has just got her son in the same school as my two. We were good friends and even started a toddler group together a few years ago, but basically I saw her a few times after she moved then gave up. She has been living literally in the next road for months and did'nt even text me.

I feel a bit petty, but can't help thinking that I may be a bit convienient now shes come back, she asked if her son can walk with my 2 on their open day, and I already have a lot of kids knocking, but had to yes really.

I know I'm biased but my two are pretty sensible and respectful, and I find it hard to warm to her son, he is very spolt and allowed to do a lot of stuff that I feel is unsuitable for my two at 10, violent video games, going out alone to hang out at the park etc. It sounds awful but I'm just crossing my fingers they are not in his class.

You can't like all their friends, especially when you have three kids, but sometimes I just think some parents have done no favours by letting their kids dictate what they want all the time.

Ok I'm off my high horse now, and going to make a cup of tea and chill out. ;)

I am exactly the same. I wish I could choose my kids friends. My DD had a friend round for tea tonight and they got on great and DD was beaming cos they had such a great time but sometimes at school they have a right fall out and she says this girl isnt nice at times and I have in the past said dont play with her then. But when DD came home last week and said that her friends mum had said she didnt like MY child, I thought I am not having that. My dd is a lovely girl, I am bringing her up properly with respect and so I asked her friend round for tea so I could see how they play together. I know its a different scene from school but they got on great. The problem is there is a group of 3 girls and I imagine one always feels left out at times so they try and paint the other one as bad to get on the good side of the other IYKWIM.
DS on the other hand has a friend who is really naughty at school and they go cubs together as well. He is really cheeky to his mum and I just dont understand why she lets him get away with it. My kids would never speak to me like that. So when they go cubs I snidely ask DS to try and play with some of the other boys as I dont want the guides tarring him with the same brush! When I go to parents evening the teacher always says I wish I could have a class of 30 like your son. (although at the minute at home he is being a moody bum at the slightest thing!)

Hopefully your kids will mix with other kids anyway and this friendship will drizzle out.

I'm glad I'm not the only one Pammy, I'm fairly lucky really as most of their friends are ok, but as they are about to move up to secondary I don't want them getting with kids that are not a good influence.

Some kids don't seem to have any boundries, and it seems so common that parents are scared to tell their own kids no. Mine are not angels but they are always polite around other peoples houses, some of the rude little wotsits have had for tea, the ones with the rich parents who clearly give them everything they want, well lets just say the wine comes out when they have left.:D

Just done a couple of onepoll's and am now at £39.75, now I shall have to check it 100 times today!

Today I have the hairdresser coming to cut the kids and my hair, then the boys have their prom tonight. Its been such manic week, I have'nt done much mf stuff. I think it's going to be like this until they leave school, parties , school trips, sports stuff.

I have found a nice house on rightmove that I would love to go and see, it's up for £245K and about 3 miles away, much bigger with a triple garage and a huge garden with farmland behind. I have rung the bank to see if we can up the mortage at all, and they are getting back to me today, I'm not hopeful though. :( Plus our house is not ready to sell, DH wants to go and look at it so will have to see what the bank say, you never know i suppose. My Dad always says that the chances of actually completing on a house you want is about one in ten.

If they say no , we will just have to hope its still up for sale in a years time :D

Right I'm off to check onepoll again.

I don't think one poll update over the weekend, but hope something pops up for you to reach the payout. That's frustrating to be so close.

They definitely don't add new ones over the weekend hon. I'll save you looking 100x. Monday should be your pay out day, and then my payout was superquick. Less than one week. Hope the same happens for you.

Right I'm off to check onepoll again.

Recently a colleague of mine saw a house she liked in the paper, viewed it, put hers on the market and it all went through and now she lives in her dream home. You never know, it may work out. It is stressful trying to get the house ready though but completely worth it if it all works out. It sounds great value for your area (you are south aren't you?) and it's importantly under the stamp duty threshold. :)

:( I have managed to get an idea of what our mortgage provider will lends us if we move. Last may we borrowed £161K, now they will lend us up to £102K. great , that really is not going to get us very far. Other providers I think will go up to about £176k which would be very close to what we need.
Thats 2.5 x dh's wages which seems very low to me. I still have a advisor ringing me back next week possibly. There is a £4K redemption penalty if we switch before the deal is up. I'm a bit gutted really as the more I look at the house they better it seems for us.

Thanks for letting me know about onepoll guys, that will save me some wasted time and frustration!

Right, thats it, I am banning myself from rightmove. I am not allowed to go on it until after xmas.

I get carried away far to easily, and we should clearly wait until the house is finished. Please feel free tell me to shut up if I start on about it again.
